A marble hearth behind the La Cornue range and brass trimmed hood center under a graceful herring bone brick barrel ceiling. Heavy distressed wood beams contrast from the white painted decking ceiling in the nook. Glass shelving and marble counters reflect the natural light spilling in from 16 foot tall windows.

Removing the existing kitchen walls made the space feel larger and gave us opportunities to move around the work triangle for better flow in the kitchen.

The existing kitchen cabinets got a fresh coat of paint using three different shades. The lower perimeter cabinets are painted Sherwin-Williams Mindful Gray (SW 7016), the uppers are Sherwin-Williams Mindful Gray (SW 7016) and Sherwin Williams Alabaster #7008, and the island and wine bar are Sherwin-Williams Roycroft Pewter (SW 2848).

This narrow space has been used to integrate an L-shape kitchen with a dining area next to the balcony. The Timber-framed glass partition wall separates the kitchen with the central living space.

“-furnishings were carefully curated to balance a new traditional sensibility with an Old World aesthetic.” (Artful Living Magazing) The cabinetry was refinished and were replaced with Taj Mahal quartzite. Regan simplified the look by painting the dark cerused cabinets a soft gray and affixing new silver hardware. The team also switched up the island style and topped it with a leathered, concrete-looking quartz.
