Welcome to our latest kitchen renovation project, where classic French elegance meets contemporary design in the heart of Great Falls, VA. In this transformation, we aim to create a stunning kitchen space that exudes sophistication and charm, capturing the essence of timeless French style with a modern twist. Our design centers around a harmonious blend of light gray and off-white tones, setting a serene and inviting backdrop for this kitchen makeover. These neutral hues will work in harmony to create a calming ambiance and enhance the natural light, making the kitchen feel open and welcoming. To infuse a sense of nature and add a striking focal point, we have carefully selected green cabinets. The rich green hue, reminiscent of lush gardens, brings a touch of the outdoors into the space, creating a unique and refreshing visual appeal. The cabinets will be thoughtfully placed to optimize both functionality and aesthetics. Throughout the project, our focus is on creating a seamless integration of design elements to produce a cohesive and visually stunning kitchen. French provincial style kitchen Saddle River, NJ Following a French provincial style, the vast variety of materials used is what truly sets this space apart. Stained in a variation of tones, and accented by different types of moldings and details, each piece was tailored specifically to our clients' specifications. Accented also by stunning metalwork, pieces that breath new life into any space.

Clients wanted to remove their hutch in order to extend their countertop across the wall. We worked with a local cabinet maker and matched the species of wood and style of the cabinet. We decided to keep a gap between the existing cabinets and the new ones in order to have an area for the clients to store their step stool.

The expansive kitchen features a 10' island, gorgeous quartz countertops, custom-designed plaster range hood, and a butler's pantry. Extensive windows fill the living spaces with views of the bay through majestic oak trees.

The catering kitchen was completely transformed by removing the 'mudroom' area to create room for a large prep, storage, and cooking areas. The new space is hosts a custom Cremone-bolted dish cabinet, wine cooler, and double panel fridge /freezer. It has a large farmhouse sink and plenty of storage for prepping for large catering events and parties.

Bei dieser Küche gelten die selben Grundsätze wie in der Werkstatt: Stauraum für sein Werkzeug, kurze Laufwege, Platz zum Arbeiten und zu guter letzt ist natürlich eine sinnvolle Anordnung der Geräte sehr wichtig. So macht es zum Beispiel Sinn den Geschirrspüler neben die Spüle zu setzen, zum einen wegen der Anschlüsse, zum andern aber auch um dreckiges Geschirr direkt aus der Spüle in den Geschirrspüler einräumen zu können. Auf Hängeschränke wurde verzichtet, dafür planten wir einen bereits vorhandenen Buffetschrank mit ein. Dadurch bleibt der Raum optisch größer ohne Einbußen machen zu müßen.

Cindy Juillet of Reico Kitchen & Bath in King of Prussia, PA collaborated with Greg Amey to design a beautiful Old World inspired French Country style kitchen featuring Ultracraft Cabinetry. The kitchen showcases the Ultracraft Oakland Park door style in Maple with a Moon Bay Brown Linen Low Sheen finish. The perimeter countertop is Valente Pearl quartz by Corian, while the island countertop features Nocturne by LG Viatera. “We appreciate Cindy’s advice in making design choices, both in the details and in the overall layout, while at the same time honoring our wishes. We wanted the look of an Old World/French Country kitchen to match the French Normandy style of our older home. We got it! The layout of the large space makes food prep and entertaining easy and fun,” said the client. Cindy mentioned that the biggest challenge designing this kitchen was the space was very large. “The client wanted to combine the existing small kitchen and dining room into one large kitchen and also have enough room for a 12-seat dining table. I wanted to make sure that everything would flow and be cohesive. They love to cook so I incorporated a 48" stove with plenty of counter top space on either side,” said Cindy. A warm and welcoming kitchen awaits these homeowners every morning. The kitchen was specifically designed to coordinate beautifully with the clients older home which had a very European flavor to it. The warmth and and elegance of the mustard cabinets contrasts with the use the slate and wood floor. New wrought iron fixtures were custom designed to bring in a feeling of old world elegance. Hand done plaster walls received further aging through a combination of a multi layer glaze .

The island is stained walnut. The cabinets are glazed paint. The gray-green hutch has copper mesh over the doors and is designed to appear as a separate free standing piece. Small appliances are behind the cabinets at countertop level next to the range. The hood is copper with an aged finish. The wall of windows keeps the room light and airy, despite the dreary Pacific Northwest winters! The fireplace wall was floor to ceiling brick with a big wood stove. The new fireplace surround is honed marble. The hutch to the left is built into the wall and holds all of their electronics. Project by Portland interior design studio Jenni Leasia Interior Design.
