From the outside this one of a kind modern farmhouse home is set off by the contrasting materials of the Shou Sugi Ban Siding, exposed douglas fir accents and steel metal roof while the inside boasts a clean lined modern aesthetic equipped with a wood fired pizza oven. Through the design and planning phases of this home we developed a simple form that could be both beautiful and every efficient. This home is ready to be net zero with the future addition of renewable resource strategies (ie. solar panels).

This kitchen is strikingly bright and airy with white cabinetry, a white island, and white stools, while maintaining its warmth with the gentle, medium stains on the wood floor and countertop, and bronze hardware. It is perfectly designed for day-to-day functionality with ample counter space, and a spacious, integrated dining area for 5, while being ready to entertain at a moment’s notice, with a built-in TV & fireplace, double-ovens, and a deep farmhouse sink. Cabinetry fitted with glass-insert cabinet doors and a significant amount of storage space complete this versatile and stunning environment – but the secret, hidden charm of this space? Esta cocina realizada en el modelo Ak_Project de Arrital ha quedado muy acogedora gracias al estilo nórdico que se le ha dado a través del uso del color blanco mate, lo que la hace muy limpia y la combinación con el laminado imitando a madera, que otorga calidez contrastando con la frialdad del color blanco. El cliente está contento con la amplitud que ha conseguido en la cocina y la cantidad de luz que se aprovecha debido al frente blanco que ocupa toda una pared y hace las veces de almacenamiento y centro de lavandería oculto. Los electrodomésticos se han elegido de Neff excepto el lavavajillas, que es Siemens. El lavavajillas se ha optado por integrarlo en la composición para no romper con la armonía, sin embargo, el frigorífico no ha sido integrado pero encaja perfectamente, ya que el acero es la combinación perfecta para el blanco y la madera. Esta cocina a pesar de verse tan limpia y minimalista está llena de sorpresas ocultas y también se ha realizado un pequeño lavadero dentro de un mueble, aprovechamos una esquina de la cocina y así la lavadora y la secadora, como productos de limpieza… quedan ocultos a la vista, pero están siempre a mano. También el hecho de introducir dentro de un mueble la lavadora y la secadora restará ruidos molestos cuando se encuentre en funcionamiento, ya que amortigua el sonido. Por otro lado, la encimera es de HPL en acabado imitación a madera. La gran isla central alberga espacio suficiente para tener la placa vitrocerámica y un amplio espacio de trabajo, así como un enchufe encastrado de acero inoxidable que será muy útil para enchufar pequeños electrodomésticos como la batidora. Como vemos el resultado es una cocina muy limpia por el efecto del color blanco, que siempre nos da sensación aséptica. A la vez, la imitación a madera nos otorga ese punto de familiaridad que le le da a la cocina un ambiente muy cálido.
