Set within an airy contemporary extension to a lovely Georgian home, the Siatama Kitchen is our most ambitious project to date. The client, a master cook who taught English in Siatama, Japan, wanted a space that spliced together her love of Japanese detailing with a sophisticated Scandinavian approach to wood. At the centre of the deisgn is a large island, made in solid british elm, and topped with a set of lined drawers for utensils, cutlery and chefs knifes. The 4-post legs of the island conform to the 寸 (pronounced ‘sun’), an ancient Japanese measurement equal to 3cm. An undulating chevron detail articulates the lower drawers in the island, and an open-framed end, with wood worktop, provides a space for casual dining and homework. A full height pantry, with sliding doors with diagonally-wired glass, and an integrated american-style fridge freezer, give acres of storage space and allow for clutter to be shut away. A plant shelf above the pantry brings the space to life, making the most of the high ceilings and light in this lovely room.

ES ist vollbracht, ein Unikat ist entstanden. Als erstes wurde die alte Küche abgebaut und die Elektrik für die neue Küche und die neuen Leuchten verlegt. Danach wurden die alten Fliesen entfernt, die Wände verputzt, geglättet und in einem zarten Rosaton gestrichen. Der wunderschöne Betonspachtelboden wurde von unserem Malermeister in den Raum gezaubert. Dann war es soweit, die neue Küche wurde geliefert und die Montage konnte beginnen. Wir haben uns für eine polarweiß matte Front mit graphitgrauen Korpus (Innenleben) entschieden. An den Fronten finden unsere gedrechselten, massiven Nussbaumknöpfe ihren perfekten Platz, die mit der maßangefertigten Wandverkleidung (dahinter versteckt sich der Heizkörper) und der Sitzgruppe super harmonieren. Selbst die Besteckeinsätze sind aus Nussbaum gefertigt. Die Geräte stammen alle, bis auf den Siemens-Einbauwaschtrockner, der sich links neben der Spüle hinter der Tür verbirgt, aus dem Hause Miele. Die Spüle und Armatur kommen aus der Schmiede der Dornbracht Manufaktur, deren Verarbeitung und Design einzigartig ist. Um dem ganzen die Krone aufzusetzen haben wir uns beim Granit für einen, nur für uns gelieferten Stein entschieden. Wir hatten diesen im letzten Sommer in Italien entdeckt und mussten diesen unbedingt haben. Die Haptik ist ähnlich wie Leder und fühlt sich samtweich an. Nach der erfolgreichen Montage wurden noch die weißen Panzeri Einbaustrahler eingebaut und wir konnten die Glasschiebetüre montieren. Bei dieser haben wir uns bewusst für eine weiße Oberführung entschieden damit am Boden keine Schiene zu sehen ist. Bilder (c) raumwerkstätten GmbH

conception et suivi de réalisation d'une cuisine sur mesure là où se trouvait une chambre et un petit bureau. Ouverture du mur porteur, création d'une nouvelle dalle, d'un nouvelle fenêtre. les meubles de la cuisine sont en plaqué chêne avec prises de main sur mesure en chêne massif. le plan de travail de l'ilot, du plan de travail et des crédences sont en Silestone Ethéreal. Le reste des meubles en mélaminé kaki, référence camouflage. Une banquette en chêne moderne et un placard encastré ont aussi été dessinés sur mesure, pour répondre à un ensemble dans un esprit scandinave et un design années 50, comme la maison d'origine. Les sols en mini carreaux de terre cuite rouge on été posés au sol pour être en accord avec les sols de la maison.

This was a small, outdated kitchen. We opened the wall into what a previously a formal dining room and made a huge new kitchen. These clients entertain often so the open kitchen and large island was a necessity.

Modelo AK_05 combinado en dos acabados distintos, laca sand (mate) y chapa de roble. Un detalle importante de este modelo es que podemos elegirlo con el uñero cortado en bisel, con lo cual viene directamente integrado en la puerta creando un efecto muy elegante. La encimera Dekton en color Zenith con canto de dos centímetros le otorga un aspecto robusto, en la superficie encontramos el enchufe integrado en la encimera de la isla, muy cómodo para tener siempre una fuente de electricidad a mano tanto para enchufar la batidora como para poner cargar el smart phone. Justo encima de la placa de inducción la campana integrada en el techo se mimetiza perfectamente con el ambiente. Otros extras de esta cocina que marcan la diferencia es el Teppan Yaki, una placa de acero que actúa como una plancha en la cual podemos hacer gran variedad de platos de forma muy sana. También el calienta platos bajo el horno, que no solo nivela estéticamente el hueco que queda libre sino que también nos servirá para mantener la comida caliente o incluso si eres un poco “master chef” puedes aventurarte a cocinar a baja temperatura. La cocina queda distribuida en dos zonas bien diferenciadas, una es la zona de trabajo que consta de una barra con taburetes altos para por ejemplo tomar un desayuno rápido y por otra parte el comedor. En éste se ha hecho un mueble que otorga espacio de almacenaje extra además de ser muy decorativo.
