Ajardinamiento hecho a base de traviesas de madera dispuestas en jardineras de distintas alturas y de forma escalonada. En la jardinera delantera de plantaron "abelias" y en la trasera "photinias". Ambas en forma de seto. En las esquinas del jardín y para dividir las jardineras se plantaron ejemplares de cipreses variedad "stricta". A destacar la ducha construida también con madera integrada en el jardín en medio de un grupo de cipreses.

Welcome to our latest project—a stunning pondless waterfall inspired by the majestic Banff waterfalls, seamlessly integrated into our clients' backyard oasis. Our team took special care to craft a unique experience, opting for a pondless design for minimal maintenance and maximum aesthetic impact. For the patio and slab stepping stones, we chose Barkman Concrete grand flagstone in the sophisticated Pacific Grey color. The choice of materials not only ensures durability but also adds a touch of elegance to the overall design. One of the distinctive features of this project is the meticulous scribing of the flagstone to mirror the natural curvature of the boulders. This technique not only enhances the visual appeal but also showcases the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that defines our work. Our goal was to create a space that stands out and transports the tranquility and beauty of Banff's waterfalls right into our clients' backyard. A young couple in West London wanted their petite garden transformed into a beautiful and functional space. A large wooden bike shed dominated their garden making the overall composition feel smaller. We created layers and focal points to offer intriguing perspectives and add depth to the garden. Inspired by the grape vines spreading across the brick wall boundaries, our design took on a Mediterranean theme.

ラスティックスタイルの庭をデザインする

雅な雰囲気の日本庭園、ニースの風を感じる南欧風のガーデン、バラが咲き誇るイングリッシュガーデン、ウッドデッキに青々とした芝生のコンビネーションなど、一言で“庭”と言ってもさまざまなガーデニングレイアウトがあり、それぞれの庭デザインによって印象や手入れがまったく異なります。もし狭小の庭であれば、思い切って日本庭園風に寄せてしまうのが正解。なぜなら、日本庭園は構成要素が少なく、余白を美とするのが特長。狭くても世界観を表現することが可能だからです。全体に低い植物や置物で統一することで目線を低く抑え、広く見せることができます。日本家屋でなくても、意外と合う日本風の庭園。家の建て替えや新築の際には検討してみてはいかがでしょうか。

洋風の庭でガーデニング

きちんと手入れされた芝生に、咲き乱れる季節の花。ゆったりと腰掛けられるベンチや噴水のある洋風の庭は誰しもがあこがれるスペースです。植木の周りを囲うレンガや、植木鉢やプランターをおしゃれに見せるアイアン製の装飾や、木のベンチやスツール、陶器の置物なども、庭の雰囲気を一気にグレードアップさせます。いずれも風雨にさらされると劣化を早めますし、台風や竜巻などが来るとあらかじめわかっているときには、防災面からも早めに屋内へ引き上げたほうがよいでしょう。汚れていたり、壊れていたりすると嫌でも目についてしまうのが庭。いくら部屋をきれいにしても庭がそうでないと興ざめしてしまいます。“ほら！自慢の庭を見て！”と言わんばかりに、常に美しく保っておきたいですね。

庭の芝の手入れの方法は？

『隣の芝生は青い』ということわざ、実は英語でもあります（『The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.』）。それくらい馴染みがあり羨望の象徴となっている芝生は、とても手がかかる植物です。手入れを怠るとすぐに雑草が伸びたり、芝がはげたり……。日当たりや排水などの環境のほか、日ごろから少しずつ手入れをしたり、管理が重要となります。手入れの基本は芝刈り、水やり、除草、肥料の4つ。四季がはっきりしている日本では、その時季に応じた手入れの方法や、葉腐病などの病気や害虫の対策もしなければなりません。まさに青い芝生は一日でならずなのです。
