Clients wanted to keep a powder room on the first floor and desired to relocate it away from kitchen and update the look. We needed to minimize the powder room footprint and tuck it into a service area instead of an open public area. We minimize the footprint and tucked the PR across from the basement stair which created a small ancillary room and buffer between the adjacent rooms. We used a small wall hung basin to make the small room feel larger by exposing more of the floor footprint. Wainscot paneling was installed to create balance, scale and contrasting finishes. The new powder room exudes simple elegance from the polished nickel hardware, rich contrast and delicate accent lighting. The space is comfortable in scale and leaves you with a sense of eloquence. This beautiful transitional powder room with wainscot paneling and wallpaper was transformed from a 1990's raspberry pink and ornate room. The space now breathes and feels so much larger. The vanity was a custom piece using an old chest of drawers. We removed the feet and added the custom metal base. The original hardware was then painted to match the base.

This small space is bold and ready to entertain. With a fun wallpaper and pops of fun colors this powder is a reflection of the entire space, but turned up a few notches.

A neutral color palette punctuated by warm wood tones and large windows create a comfortable, natural environment that combines casual southern living with European coastal elegance. The 10-foot tall pocket doors leading to a covered porch were designed in collaboration with the architect for seamless indoor-outdoor living. Decorative house accents including stunning wallpapers, vintage tumbled bricks, and colorful walls create visual interest throughout the space.
