When the house was purchased, someone had lowered the ceiling with gyp board. We re-designed it with a coffer that looked original to the house. The antique stand for the vessel sink was sourced from an antique store in Berkeley CA. The flooring was replaced with traditional 1" hex tile.

This fun Powder room features a custom black stained floating vanity with X-detail on the doors and an oversized West Elm round, gold mirror. The Kohler Purist gold faucet and hardware really pop.

For this new family home, the goal was to make the home feel modern, yet warm and inviting. With a neutral colour palette, and using timeless materials such as timber, concrete, marble and stone, Studio Black has a created a home that's luxurious but full of warmth. In the formal powder room, antique marble tiles, laid in a checker pattern, were imported from France. The design of the vanity emulates that of an elegant chest, the finish of which is accentuated by the mirror above it. An archway separates the sink area from the toilet itself.
