The house is located in Conyers Farm, a residential development, known for its’ grand estates and polo fields. Although the site is just over 10 acres, due to wetlands and conservation areas only 3 acres adjacent to Upper Cross Road could be developed for the house. These restrictions, along with building setbacks led to the linear planning of the house. To maintain a larger back yard, the garage wing was ‘cranked’ towards the street. The bent wing hinged at the three-story turret, reinforces the rambling character and suggests a sense of enclosure around the entry drive court. Designed in the tradition of late nineteenth-century American country houses. The house has a variety of living spaces, each distinct in shape and orientation. Porches with Greek Doric columns, relaxed plan, juxtaposed masses and shingle-style exterior details all contribute to the elegant “country house” character.

One of the classic highlights of the house is the 3-season loggia room with its arched wood and glass panel folding wall. It’s a haven for casual relaxation complete with barbecue kitchen, wet bar, fireplace and flat screen media centre. It’s comforting to know the pool is just a few steps away.

An opulent space which features a 20' infinity edge swimming pool, a custom designed bar with brass details and mirrored tile backsplash, as well as the main seating area with lounge furnishings which are luxurious and durable. Behind the seating arrangement is a custom designed piece of mirror and black lacquered millwork.

The pool house is right next to the pool. Upon entering, Azura® pavers lead you into a kitchen and bar area. Also in the space is a bathroom and a laundry room for drying wet towels after a good swim.

This backyard entertaining oasis boasts a swimming pool, 12' high waterfall with a built-in 7' grotto underneath, and a fully-equipped outdoor kitchen and poolhouse. The beautiful poolscape helps the family love their outdoor space and offers them a peaceful escape - right at home. The in ground pool construction project and pool house included building an outdoor kitchen with grill, refrigerator, accessories, and granite countertops. The outdoor entertaining area features natural cedar underdecking, and a luxurious poolscape with large pondless waterfall. The natural stone firepit has a custom natural stone bench seat and polished natural stone caps. The custom designed paver pool deck, custom plantings, outdoor lighting accents, and boulders surround the outdoor environment with the perfect finishing touch.
