The doorway was shifted over to allow for the cooktop to be relocated to the perimeter wall and new vented wood hood. An expansive island provides plenty of counter space for prepping meals and entertaining. A light painted perimeter keeps the kitchen light and bright while there is nice contrast to the darker island to ground the space.
