This Small wine cellar was converted from a client’s previous home study. This was a complete conversion including all the site build work, M&E and cabinetry manufacturing. It was completed just four weeks from strip out to hand over to our very happy client. The timber finish is a pre-laminated board with an edging finish.

This Premium wine wall in the dining room set is finished in a Macassar ebony high gloss veneer with a moisture-resistant core. It is the ultimate gentleman’s, connoisseur and designer retail chose of luxury timber finish. This Macassar ebony wine display has been further complemented with light brushed brass doors and handles. The slim profile brushed doors with concealed hinges, not only look fantastic but have all the built-in functional requirements for a refrigerated wine wall display. The doors close onto the internal carcass gasket, that creates an airtight seal. Once closed they automatically lock via an internal fob controlled built-in locking system. The RFID fob reader has been concealed inside the wine displays external cabinetry side wall, in a location selected by the client. This young couple was looking to create a space where they could entertain adults and children simultaneously. We designed an adult side with walk in Wine Closet, Wine Tasting Bar, and TV area. The other third of the basement was designed as an expansive playroom for the children to gather. Barn doors separate the adult side from the childrens side, this also allows for the parents to close off the toys while entertaining adults only. To finish off the basement is a full bathroom and bedroom.

Thermally Broken Steel USA supplied the custom thermally broken steel wine cellar and a custom steel 90minute fire-rated entry door. Both assemblies were designed to look as though they came from the same frame collection but utilize completely different profiles due to the nature of the functionality required. The thermal break in our OS2 series steel frames keeps the wine cellar at the ideal temperature and the low iron glass makes for a perfect view of the owner's wine collection. Additionally, the custom fire rated steel entry door features the same handle and trim set as the wine cellar as well as a concealed floor mounted closer and fluted glass for privacy.
