The distinguishing trait of the I Naturali series is soil. A substance which on the one hand recalls all things primordial and on the other the possibility of being plied. As a result, the slab made from the ceramic lends unique value to the settings it clads.

E' stata una scelta dei proprietari di casa che, con i loro 4 figli, hanno preferito sacrificare lo spazio del soggiorno, in favore di questo ambiente. The goals of this project was to create an open modern space for a family of 4 to feel creative and comfortable. The family is enthusiastic about cooking, so only the best appliances would do. Taking advantage of the height and airiness of the space was important in our design as well. We wanted to contrast the light flooring and bright wall tones with the unique Grey obecchi veneered doors. Keeping with the contemporary theme the appliances had to look sleek and fully integrated into the cabinetry . In a home with high ceilings and lots of natural light we wanted to create a balance of light and dark. The overall results was beautiful composition of dark grey and light quartz countertop with earth tone veining to pull it all together. What were the challenges and limitations of the space/client/project? The home was originally a run down early 1900's Victorian home. The architect had designed a fresh take on this vintage home, bringing in modern details and clean lines. The alcove that was carved out for the kitchen gave it an open feel without being too exposed to the other living areas. With an open concept, wall space and storage tends to be limited. We created as much storage as we could hidden behind our large scaled doors while keeping things feeling open with walnut floating shelves and integrated lighting for a wow factor.

Clean and sleek-looking Kitchen in Taupe and Graphite finish with Dark brown rails and Neolith worktop, Coffee station here is a storage feature It houses the coffee machine behind closed doors, providing a discrete, practical coffee station that doesn’t distract from the beauty of the classic kitchen. The added worksurface above the drawers provides space for the coffee machine, shelving above provides easy access to mugs and glassware, and the drawers beneath provide the perfect spot for espresso pods.

The kitchen is a two tone kitchen with light grey for the tall units and gloss white for the main kitchen. There is carerra white minerva worktops on the kitchen and splashbacks and a upstand in the same materials. In this kitchen there is a kick heater, tall pull out larder, bins, 2 le mans corner units, tall shelved unit, intergrated fridge and dishwasher plus soft close drawers. We also fitted all new internal doors in this house.

From the architect's description: "This grand detached period property in Teddington suffered from a lack of connectivity with the rear garden as well as a cramped kitchen and poorly lit living spaces. Replacing the original modest gable end rear extension a collection of new intersecting volumes contain a generous open plan space accommodating a new kitchen, dining area and snug. The existing side return lean-to has also been replaced with a large utility space that boasts full height integrated storage and a new WC. Taking every opportunity to harness natural light from its east facing orientation an assortment of glazing features including a clearstory window, glazed kitchen splashback, glazed corner window and two roof lights have been carefully positioned to ensure every elevation of the new extension is suitably equipped to capture daylight. Careful detailing of the recycled bricks from the old extension with new European Larch cladding provide crisply defined apertures containing new expansive full height minimally-framed sliding doors opening up the rear elevation onto a new raised patio space."
