The kitchen cabinets were in good condition and provided plenty of storage for the clients, so to save on budget + re-use working existing fittings, we overhauled by redecorating the previous soft-grey finish with a rich dark green. The result is a stunning focal point of the space, while also being practical and giving the kitchen new life. Another challenging space in the kitchen, the corner need to be able to fit a range and full hood structure. With pluming and an unusual window above, it was a tight fit. Going with a small glass stainless steel hood, the hood flowers out on bottom to maximize efficiency.

Continuing the design language of contrast throughout the kitchen, the space was designed to be asymmetrical, enriching the overall hierarchy of the space. Influenced by the shape of the space, the multiple doors/points of entry to the space encouraged a spaced out yet thoughtful design.

Suite à l'acquisition du rez-de-chaussée de leur duplex, les propriétaires ont décidé de rénover l'ensemble de l'appartement. La salle de bain a été entièrement rénovée, incluant la plomberie, l'isolation du mur extérieur et l'électricité. L'entrepreneur général a collaborer de concert avec le propriétaire dans la sélection des équipements de finition (tuile de céramique murale et de plancher, robinetterie, douche, vanité). Dans la cuisine, la rénovation complète comprenait le remplacement de toute la plomberie, l'électricité et le plancher de céramique. Les armoires et les plans de travail ont été fournis par le client (de IKEA). Dans tout le rez-de-chaussée, parquet et moquette ont été retirés pour mettre en valeur les parquets existants, poncés et vernis. Les murs et plafonds en plâtre ont également été repeints. __________ Following the acquisition of the ground floor of their duplex, the homeowners decided to renovate the entire apartment. The bathroom was completely renovated, including plumbing, insulation of the exterior wall, and electricity. Ceramic walls and floor tiling, plumbing hardware, and finishes for the shower and vanity were selected through collaboration between the general contractor and homeowner. In the kitchen, the full renovation included the replacement of all plumbing, electricity, and ceramic flooring. Cabinets and countertops were supplied by the customer (from IKEA). Throughout the ground floor, parquet and carpet were removed to showcase existing hardwood floors, which were sanded and varnished. Plaster walls and ceilings were also given a fresh repaint.

Esta cocina realizada en el modelo Ak_Project de Arrital se ha elegido en dos combinaciones: el acabado Sabiato Nocce que imita a madera oscura junto con el Blanco Láser. La encimera se ha seleccionado en un granito negro intenso con el canto recto y un grosor de 4 cm, lo que proporciona robustez a la superficie. Como podemos observar la cocina es amplia y muy luminosa, al no tener muebles que entorpezcan que fluya la luz que entra por un gran ventanal de acceso a la terraza. Se han colocado los muebles más oscuros en la parte baja lo que aporta que el peso visual quede compensado con la parte alta, que se ha colocado en un tono blanco que descarga mucho la composición. Este estilo de cocina consigue que tengamos una gran capacidad de almacenaje sin recargar el ambiente. Se ha aprovechado junto a la puerta para hacer una despensa que ayuda a desahogar el espacio y aumentar el espacio de almacenamiento, ya que no disponemos de lavadero podremos guardar hasta el cubo de la fregona o la escoba manteniéndose siempre al alcance. Un lavavajillas integrado de tamaño reducido Los electrodomésticos son de Bosch, se han ocultado la lavadora y el lavavajillas para que no interrumpan la visión y quede un estilo mucho más minimalista en la composición de la cocina. El lavavajillas es de 45 cm, esto es un tamaño más reducido de lo habitual pero no quiere decir que reste prestaciones al electrodoméstico, al contrario, este lavavajillas no tiene nada que envidiar a los de tamaño estándar. Este lavavajillas demuestra que no se requiere un electrodoméstico de gran tamaño para que sea eficiente.

Les propriétaires souhaitaient créer une ambiance à la fois poétique et épurée. Les matériaux choisis sont nobles sans être tape-à-l’œil. Les contrastes de couleurs apportent luminosité et caractère.
