Our client was moving into a newly built family home in Inverallochy and wanted a kitchen that would be modern and functional. Their requirements included a large central island, a separate coffee-making area, and matching furniture to optimise the space. The Nolte Lux range was selected for this kitchen, pairing Magnolia colour furniture with Lava on tall units. This choice struck a balanced aesthetic while maintaining a modern look. We used 20mm Silestone Coral Clay for the island worktop and contrasted it with Nolte 40mm Platinum Bough Oak on the perimeter, including a 100mm breakfast bar. We used all NEFF appliances including two single ovens, a microwave, warming drawer, and induction hob to fulfill every culinary need. A Blanco Subline 1 ½ undermounted sink in Tartufo and a Quooker Fusion Square Stainless Steel instant boiling water tap were added for ease of use. The matching TV unit, matching sideboard type unit and a large freestanding table with a bench utilised the Nolte product to the maximum. Interested in redesigning your kitchen? Exhibiting characteristics of a modern design, this kitchen is stylish. In general modern designs are adept to minimalism and the general idea is that less is more. It also embraces the extreme accuracy and simplicity. The bright and white background enhances its geometric shapes with clean and sleek lines and surfaces. From the black appliances, to monochromatic furnishings, light and simple tiles to large windows welcoming daylight. Even the decorations are as minimal as possible. Ultra-modern appliances are the usual go to in minimalist designs, however, the customer chose a gas cook-top. But the rest of the appliances are all modern and built in. For instance, the almost invisible ceiling extractor. The cabinets’ fronts are in gloss finish, which reflects the geometric and sleek lines. The option of handle-less minimises the visual information. The cabinetry is also taken to the ceiling for a cleaner environment. The modern worktop with marble veins matches the floor and creates a clean design. The choice of quartz counter-top is durable, easy maintain and is stunning. The almost monochromatic design, creates a clean and uncluttered kitchen. The dark grey, brings presence to the kitchen and is a timeless colour choice, while the high gloss colour increases its impact. In this case, the kitchen is in a large open space and the dark grey makes it dominate the space. For modern designs, the goal is functionality above aesthetics, so usually lighting and decorations are kept to a minimum and as sleek as possible. The customer, in this case, opted for ceiling lights and no drop downs.

Subway-tile (3x6-inch) quartz backsplash creates visual continuity with the solid-slab island surface and perimeter countertops. Custom millwork (in contemporary white with brushed chrome handles) designed with full-height cabinets with upper shelves back-lit for warm night-time visual. Extra bonus storage and reduced dusting: always a winning combo. Easy-access spice kitchen includes all the features today’s savvy buyers expect from their cooking space: full-sized range with induction* cooktop, fridge, dishwasher, and 36-inch* sink that’s deep enough to effortlessly handle the biggest spaghetti/corn pots. A caterer’s dream too. Large format (3x3-foot) marble-inspired porcelain floor-tiling is extension of material used throughout main floor. Elegant, contemporary, dramatic. Warm on the feet, thanks to energy-efficient, in-floor radiant heating.

For their new family home in St Combs, the client approached us with a clear vision: a modern, efficient kitchen equipped with an island and tall units seamlessly integrated into the wall. We decided on the Nolte Feel range, enhanced by the MatrixArt Handleless trims featuring integrated lighting. The primary colour chosen was white, paired with Lava accent doors to provide depth and contrast. The 20mm Silestone Coral Clay worktop with a mitred waterfall end panel beautifully complemented the overall design, topped off with a Nolte Holm Oak breakfast bar. Consistency and reliability were pivotal; thus, we opted for an all-NEFF appliance suite. This included a single oven, combi microwave, warming drawer, induction hob, ceiling extraction, full-height fridge and freezer, wine cooler, and dishwasher. To enhance the kitchen further, we added a Blanco Subline single bowl undermounted sink in Tartufo and a Quooker Stainless Steel FLEX instant boiling water tap.
