L’appartamento, di 110 mq, posto all’ultimo piano di un edificio residenziale a Portici, gode di una vista diretta su una delle cupole più antiche della città metropolitana di Napoli, quella della Basilica di San Ciro. E’ proprio questo legame tra l’interno e la veduta esterna che fa si che la maestosa cupola diventi quasi parte dell’arredo. Le esigenze della Committenza richiedevano un progetto moderno, comodo e confortevole, dove l’intera Famiglia potesse rilassarsi e riunirsi al rientro da lavoro. L’ingresso dà sull’ampia zona living, ampia e luminosa, completamente separata dalla zona notte e caratterizzata dalla presenza di arredi in legno progettati e realizzati su misura. Da qui si accede alla cucina mediante un’ampia porta scorrevole in vetro e legno, che consente allo spazio la massima flessibilità, e al bagno per gli ospiti mediante un disimpegno dove armadiature realizzate su misura danno allo spazio il massimo della funzionalità.

My vision for this kitchen was to create a modern and updated design style and help breathe new life into the space. I wanted to bring a smile to the homeowners' faces each time they walk in the room. I felt the space needed to be lightened up and have extraordinary finish details and a focal feature. I felt the finish of the cabinets and walls needed to be lighter and more neutral than the original glazed style. I envisioned a glass backsplash that glistens and sparkles as it catches the light. The Taj Mahal stone countertop is a statement piece that updates the space while complementing the existing travertine flooring. Luxe gold faucets add more sparkle. And for the focal? How about ceiling beams and a couple of breathtaking oversized pendants with black & gold detail? Mission accomplished!

As part of a complete remodel on this McKinney Avenue high rise condo, Edict designed a complete kitchen remodel. The cabinetry is 100% custom designed, no off the shelf or RTA cabinetry here. Made from rift cut white oak, the lighter cabinets have a clear coat natural finish and the darker cabinets are stained in an ebony finish giving a great sense of contrast and interest to this kitchen. The kitchen is packed with high end appliances including a Miele built in coffee machine, a wine fridge, Miele integrated hood and Miele gas cooktop as well as a deep single stainless steel sink, an integrated trash compactor and new integrated SubZero refrigerator. The kitchen's lighting has cable lighting for the main source of light which pulls in the industrial feel of the loft's exposed beams and ductwork, a new custom lightbox suspended above the new island with integrated LED cans and 3 pendants to light it. Also, above the ceiling panel, above the cabinets, under the cabinets and the toe kicks all have integrated LED lighting - all lighting is dimmable giving the most diverse options for a lighting solution. All of the cabinetry doors and drawers have Blum hardware and most are without handles for the most seamless look possible. Instead, one presses the drawers and cabinets and they pop open and close with soft close drawers. This kitchen remodel is absolutely jaw dropping! The large kitchen island makes for a stunning centerpiece in this modern kitchen. The natural light seeping through the windows pair beautifully with the refinished floors, adding warmth and vibrancy to this kitchen. Originally, this kitchen was closed off from the rest of the home, and featured dark cabinets, and dark hardwood floors. We opened the kitchen to the living room and installed a beam, this giving the kitchen an open floor plan. The layout of the kitchen was completely changed, and custom cabinetry was installed. This project completely changed the feel of the home, and we couldn't be happier with the result,
