What we have here is an expansive space perfect for a family of 5. Located in the beautiful village of Tewin, Hertfordshire, this beautiful home had a full renovation from the floor up. The clients had a vision of creating a spacious, open-plan contemporary kitchen which would be entertaining central and big enough for their family of 5. They booked a showroom appointment and spoke with Alina, one of our expert kitchen designers. Alina quickly translated the couple’s ideas, taking into consideration the new layout and personal specifications, which in the couple’s own words “Alina nailed the design”. Our Handleless Flat Slab design was selected by the couple with made-to-measure cabinetry that made full use of the room’s ceiling height. All cabinets were hand-painted in Pitch Black by Farrow & Ball and slatted real wood oak veneer cladding with a Pitch Black backdrop was dotted around the design. All the elements from the range of Neff appliances to décor, blended harmoniously, with no one material or texture standing out and feeling disconnected. The overall effect is that of a contemporary kitchen with lots of light and colour. We are seeing lots more wood being incorporated into the modern home today. Other features include a breakfast pantry with additional drawers for cereal and a tall single-door pantry, complete with internal drawers and a spice rack. The kitchen island sits in the middle with an L-shape kitchen layout surrounding it. We also flowed the same design through to the utility.

The true testament to a modern kitchen is its minimalistic approach. This beautiful walnut kitchen is accented by the white high gloss cabinetry portrayed in both the main kitchen and prep kitchen. We also included a walnut dry bar to make sure dinner parties had two separate areas for food presentation and drinks.

This project was a complete update of kitchen with new walk in pantry, butler's pantry, full length island, 48" gas range, custom built design cabinet doors and full height china cabinet. Old heart pine flooring installed for flooring to tie kitchen together with the rest of the house. Countertops installed were forza quartz, quartzite, and butcher block material.

An open concept was among the priorities for the renovation of this split-level St Lambert home. The interiors were stripped, walls removed and windows condemned. The new floor plan created generous sized living spaces that are complemented by low profile and minimal furnishings. The kitchen is a bold statement featuring deep navy matte cabinetry and soft grey quartz counters. The 14’ island was designed to resemble a piece of furniture and is the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or entertain large gatherings. Practical storage needs are accommodated in full height towers with flat panel doors. The modern design of the solarium creates a panoramic view to the lower patio and swimming pool. The challenge to incorporate storage in the adjacent living room was solved by juxtaposing the dramatic dark kitchen millwork with white built-ins and open wood shelving. The tiny 25sf master ensuite includes a custom quartz vanity with an integrated double sink. Neutral and organic materials maintain a pure and calm atmosphere.

This kitchen and main floor remodeling project was performed on a 1988 home in Lake Oswego, OR. The client wanted to transform the space by opening it up, adding a modern kitchen and bar area as well as new flooring, trim and paint throughout the main floor area. Our design team removed unnecessary walls, and relocated the plumbing and HVAC creating an open and inviting space between the dining room and kitchen. We also installed custom cabinets throughout with multiple upgraded storage options, new lighting and paint colors creating a well lit environment. This stylish, family friendly kitchen is also an entertainer’s dream! This young family desired a bright, spacious kitchen that would function just as well for the family of 4 everyday, as it would for hosting large events (in a non-covid world). Apart from these programmatic goals, our aesthetic goal was to accommodate all the function and mess into the design so everything would be neatly hidden away behind beautiful cabinetry and panels. The navy, bifold buffet area serves as an everyday breakfast and coffee bar, and transforms into a beautiful buffet spread during parties (we’ve been there!). The fridge drawers are great for housing milk and everyday items during the week, and both kid and adult beverages during parties while keeping the guests out of the main cooking zone. Just around the corner you’ll find the high gloss navy bar offering additional beverages, ice machine, and barware storage – cheers! Super durable quartz with a marbled look keeps the kitchen looking neat and bright, while withstanding everyday wear and tear without a problem. The practical waterfall ends at the island offer additional damage control in bringing that hard surface all the way down to the beautiful white oak floors. Underneath three large window walls, a built-in banquette and custom table provide a comfortable, intimate dining nook for the family and a few guests while the stunning chandelier ties in nicely with the other brass accents in the kitchen. The thin black window mullions offer a sharp, clean contrast to the crisp white walls and coordinate well with the dark banquette. Thin, tall windows on either side of the range beautifully frame the stunningly simple, double curvature custom hood, and large windows in the bar/butler’s pantry allow additional light to really flood the space and keep and airy feel. The textured wallpaper in the bar area adds a touch of warmth, drama and interest while still keeping things simple.
