The kitchen & living room swapped spaces during the renovation & the fireplace was entirely removed in the interest of maximizing floor space. The reconfiguration gave the kitchen much needed breathing room & also accommodated a cozy dining nook. In the renovated family room, a new gas fireplace is flanked by built in bookcases that maximize functional storage and modern style.

A beautifully designed new kitchen in a rear extension. Working closely with the clients who had a clear vision for what they wanted to achieve. Featuring an improved layout, large pantry, open plan dinning room and suspended ceiling with LED light system, to hide outdated kitchen chimney. Opening up the back wall has created a stunning picture view and vibrant living area that has become the focal point of the home.

This 3,500-square-foot home was custom designed for the clients. They wanted a modern yet comfortable and livable style throughout the inside of the house, with large windows allowing one to soak up the beautiful nature that surrounds the home. It features an open concept and plenty of seating for easy entertaining, beautiful artwork that is meaningful to the homeowners, and bright splashes of color that keep the spaces interesting and fun. --- Project by Wiles Design Group. This gut renovation of a 1960's galley kitchen opens the kitchen to the living room and allows natural light to flood the space. All new recessed lighting in a drop ceiling with LED linear lights installed in the reveal create a floating appearance. Appliances are integrated into the cabinetry to reduce visual clutter. A simple, clean-lined and modern aesthetic will stand the test of time.

What was originally two rooms, became one amazing kitchen space and it’s fully loaded. This kitchen includes; vein-matched Ceralsio Macchia Vecchia porcelain worktops from CRL Stone, flush mounted Novy hobs with a teppanyaki hot plate, spotlights from Zuma Experience which are your speakers too, Kaelo wine cooler, Quooker tap with sparkling water, Siemens extra large fridge-freezer with plumbed-in ice machine, plus a tall 3-zone wine cabinet, remote control cabinet lights, Inseinkerator waste disposal, bespoke pendants from Leverint Lighting, smart underfloor heating by Birkdale Smart Home. The Macchia Vecchia worktops boast all the natural beauty of marble combined with the many practical advantages of Ceralsio ceramic to create a surface that is visually and functionally striking.

Here is a close-up of the oversized tile used in this Silver Lake Kitchen. The floating glass shelves have a very small visual footprint and allow the tile soar.

Vienna Addition Skill Construction & Design, LLC, Design/Build a two-story addition to include remodeling the kitchen and connecting to the adjoining rooms, creating a great room for this family of four. After removing the side office and back patio, it was replaced with a great room connected to the newly renovated kitchen with an eating area that doubles as a homework area for the children. There was plenty of space left over for a walk-in pantry, powder room, and office/craft room. The second story design was for an Adult’s Only oasis; this was designed for the parents to have a permitted Staycation. This space includes a Grand Master bedroom with three walk-in closets, and a sitting area, with plenty of room for a king size bed. This room was not been completed until we brought the outdoors in; this was created with the three big picture windows allowing the parents to look out at their Zen Patio. The Master Bathroom includes a double size jet tub, his & her walk-in shower, and his & her double vanity with plenty of storage and two hideaway hampers. The exterior was created to bring a modern craftsman style feel, these rich architectural details are displayed around the windows with simple geometric lines and symmetry throughout. Craftsman style is an extension of its natural surroundings. This addition is a reflection of indigenous wood and stone sturdy, defined structure with clean yet prominent lines and exterior details, while utilizing low-maintenance, high-performance materials. We love the artisan style of intricate details and the use of natural materials of this Vienna, VA addition. We especially loved working with the family to Design & Build a space that meets their family’s needs as they grow.
