We replaced the carpet with a maple hardwood floor, placed a rug that she brought down from her house in Alaska, bought a new American Leather sleeper sofa and covered it with Ultra suede so the 5 cats don't destroy it with their claws. The two chairs are a Lexington Klismos Chair covered in Kravet Faux leather. We installed the Sliding Shoji doors so we could close off the room and it becomes a quest suite with its own bathroom. The coffee table is a reproduction of a Louis 14th gold Dolphin with glass top. I installed casters on it so it can easily be rolled aside when the sleeper sofa is made into a bed for guests.

My client wanted to update this formal room with a Mediterranean touch. We added distressing to the white fireplace with paint (Carol Guagenti), added new and re-upholstered furniture, area rug and enhanced the height of the room with lined sheer drapery. The entire living room furniture layout and esthetic was designed by Sarah Duque Lovisoni. The production as a whole was produced by Italians craftsmen, each piece built with the most exclusive materials included wood, brass, and luxurious fabrics, etc; all hand-picked by the designer Sarah. Her principal endeavor was to create a unique, elegant, cozy, and sophisticated environment.
