This 1950’s original beach home needed a complete renovation. The home was taken down to the foundation and totally rebuilt, complete with additions out the front and back, as well as a total interior floor plan overhaul. The style combines elements of Spanish, rustic, and transitional. This warm and inviting space is perfect for entertaining with the large gourmet kitchen, open dining and family room, and outdoor living space that is connected to the main house by bi-folding glass doors. The mix of soft cream colors and rustic black lighting give interest and personality to the space. The worn Spanish tile throughout on the floor ties the space together.

Completely renovated gourmet kitchen and butters pantry in Rancho Santa Fe fit with all custom quarter-sawn white oak cabinetry designed with the lines of antique furniture as the inspiration paired with the modernism of matte black forged iron cabinetry and iron lattice grate features, sexy ribbed finial one-of-a-kind legs for the island, Calacata Michaelangelo marble on all surfaces including backsplashes, sink front and pair of drawer fronts flanking the Wolf cooktop. In addition to the cabinetry, the round custom butcher block cabinet, quilted millwork and hand forged ironworks, the brass cabinetry hardware pulls and knobs, swivel barstools, both iron pendants with black linen fabric lined in gold silk shades over the island and the three iron and wood light sconces placed high above the sink window were also designed and made in my custom work rooms south of the border which allowed for us to create and exceptional one-of-a-kind design AND high-end quality product for our client at a fraction of the cost in comparison as to if this design had been produced in Southern California. An antique reclaimed custom Italian oven showcased in an award winning design Italian Villa featuring our old salvaged Arcane Limestone Floors installed with a dark 'hay Stack' gout lines. The grout color selection added more uniformity to our stone and helped darken the overall Hue of the Stone floor so it seamlessly blends with its darker environment.

We created the light shaft above the island, which allows light in through two new round windows. These openings used to be attic vents. The beams are reclaimed lumber. Lighting and pulls are from Rejuvenation.

We added this pantry cabinet in a small nook off the kitchen. The lower cabinet doors have a wire mesh insert. Dutch doors lead to the backyard.
