When homeowners Patricia and Steve wanted to remodel and refresh their Monroe Twp home, they turned to design professional Pam Prestin, Home Potential, LLC, Middletown, NJ. Inspired by everything European, especially Patricia’s Spanish roots, Pam doubled their kitchen size and created a gourmet chef’s kitchen for chef Steve! One of many highlights for Steve is the Bertazzoni stove for his gourmet creations to share with friends and family. Having an entertaining space that allows us to gather with friends and family is priceless.” The goal was to create a space they could enjoy for twenty years that was timeless and European. The family that loves to entertain and everyone loves to be in the same room, so creating a kitchen that allowed for food preparation and enjoying friends and family Was important.

Soft greys, beige, cream colored fabrics, hand knotted rugs and quiet light walls show off the beautiful thick arches between the living room and dining room. Stained wood beams, wrought iron lighting, and carved limestone fireplaces give a soft, comfortable feel for this summer home by the Pacific Ocean. White linen drapes with grass shades give warmth and texture to the great room. The kitchen features glass and white marble mosaic backsplash, white slabs of natural quartzite, and a built in banquet nook. The oak cabinets are lightened by a white wash over the stained wood, and medium brown wood plank flooring througout the home. Project Location: Santa Barbara, California. Spectacular unobstructed views of the Bay, Bridge, Alcatraz, San Francisco skyline and the rolling hills of Marin greet you from almost every window of this stunning Provençal Villa located in the acclaimed Middle Ridge neighborhood of Mill Valley. Built in 2000, this exclusive 5 bedroom, 5+ bath estate was thoughtfully designed by architect Jorge de Quesada to provide a classically elegant backdrop for today’s active lifestyle. Perfectly positioned on over half an acre with flat lawns and an award winning garden there is unmatched sense of privacy just minutes from the shops and restaurants of downtown Mill Valley. The Century old Sonoma Olive trees and lavender plantings add a Mediterranean touch to the two lawn areas that also include an antique fountain, and a charming custom Barbara Butler playhouse. Inspired by Provence and built to exacting standards this charming villa provides an elegant yet welcoming environment designed to meet the needs of today’s active lifestyle while staying true to its Continental roots creating a warm and inviting space ready to call home.

We gutted our old kitchen, and started over from scratch. Now everything is new! The kitchen was also expanded to add extra space and room for more cabinets. Jule Lucero recreated these kitchen cabinets to take advantage of the high, flat ceiling. She added built-up crown molding to create balance, elegance and an architectural statement. Glass front cabinet doors were added, as were open shelves, to strategically add visual depth. Seeded, bubble glass was used to create blurred privacy for flexible storage use. The cabinets were stripped (originally a stained dark mahogany), painted a crisp, warm white to offset the custom oak flooring, The island was increased with a new granite top, and custom recess with new corbels, for casual coffee, or dining.
