This warm, elegant, and inviting great room is complete with rich patterns, textures, fabrics, wallpaper, stone, and a large custom multi-light chandelier that is suspended above. The two way fireplace is covered in stone and the walls on either side are covered in a knot fabric wallpaper that adds a subtle and sophisticated texture to the space. A mixture of cool and warm tones makes this space unique and interesting. The space is anchored with a sectional that has an abstract pattern around the back and sides, two swivel chairs and large rectangular coffee table. The large sliders collapse back to the wall connecting the interior and exterior living spaces to create a true indoor/outdoor living experience. The cedar wood ceiling adds additional warmth to the home.

Part of the renovation project included opening the large wall to the Music Room which is opposite the dining room. In there we married a gorgeous teal grasscloth wallpaper, also from Phillip Jeffries, with fabric for drapery & shades in Covington’s Abelia Garden which is a stunning embroidered floral on a navy background. Les propriétaires ont hérité de cette maison de campagne datant de l'époque de leurs grands parents et inhabitée depuis de nombreuses années. Outre la dimension affective du lieu, il était difficile pour eux de se projeter à y vivre puisqu'ils n'avaient aucune idée des modifications à réaliser pour améliorer les espaces et s'approprier cette maison. La conception s'est faite en douceur et à été très progressive sur de longs mois afin que chacun se projette dans son nouveau chez soi. Je me suis sentie très investie dans cette mission et j'ai beaucoup aimé réfléchir à l'harmonie globale entre les différentes pièces et fonctions puisqu'ils avaient à coeur que leur maison soit aussi idéale pour leurs deux enfants. Caractéristiques de la décoration : inspirations slow life dans le salon et la salle de bain. Décor végétal et fresques personnalisées à l'aide de papier peint panoramiques les dominotiers et photowall. Tapisseries illustrées uniques. A partir de matériaux sobres au sol (carrelage gris clair effet béton ciré et parquet massif en bois doré) l'enjeu à été d'apporter un univers à chaque pièce à l'aide de couleurs ou de revêtement muraux plus marqués : Vert / Verte / Tons pierre / Parement / Bois / Jaune / Terracotta / Bleu / Turquoise / Gris / Noir ... Il y a en a pour tout les gouts dans cette maison !

La parete di fondo con carta da parati a colori caldi rende l'ambiente molto accogliente. Gli arredi in legno riprendono il parquet in rovere con posa a spina italiana. Sopra il volume del bagno trova posto un piccolo soppalco con un "frame" molto leggero in legno, ed una rete sospesa come ulteriore spazio lettura e relax.

El objetivo principal de este proyecto es dar una nueva imagen a una antigua vivienda unifamiliar. La intervención busca mejorar la eficiencia energética de la vivienda, favoreciendo la reducción de emisiones de CO2 a la atmósfera. Se utilizan materiales y productos locales, con certificados sostenibles, así como aparatos y sistemas que reducen el consumo y el desperdicio de agua y energía.

This cozy gathering space in the heart of Davis, CA takes cues from traditional millwork concepts done in a contemporary way. Accented with light taupe, the grid panel design on the walls adds dimension to the otherwise flat surfaces. A brighter white above celebrates the room’s high ceilings, offering a sense of expanded vertical space and deeper relaxation. Along the adjacent wall, bench seating wraps around to the front entry, where drawers provide shoe-storage by the front door. A built-in bookcase complements the overall design. A sectional with chaise hides a sleeper sofa. Multiple tables of different sizes and shapes support a variety of activities, whether catching up over coffee, playing a game of chess, or simply enjoying a good book by the fire. Custom drapery wraps around the room, and the curtains between the living room and dining room can be closed for privacy. Petite framed arm-chairs visually divide the living room from the dining room. In the dining room, a similar arch can be found to the one in the kitchen. A built-in buffet and china cabinet have been finished in a combination of walnut and anegre woods, enriching the space with earthly color. Inspired by the client’s artwork, vibrant hues of teal, emerald, and cobalt were selected for the accessories, uniting the entire gathering space.

If this isn't the perfect place to take a nap or read a book, I don't know what is! This amazing farmhouse style living room brings a new definition to cozy. Everything from the comforting colors to a very comfortable couch and chair. With the addition of a new vinyl bow window, we were able to accent the bright colors and truly make them pop. It's also the perfect little nook for you or your kids to sit on and admire a sunny or rainy day!
