We gutted and renovated this entire modern Colonial home in Bala Cynwyd, PA. Introduced to the homeowners through the wife’s parents, we updated and expanded the home to create modern, clean spaces for the family. Highlights include converting the attic into completely new third floor bedrooms and a bathroom; a light and bright gray and white kitchen featuring a large island, white quartzite counters and Viking stove and range; a light and airy master bath with a walk-in shower and soaking tub; and a new exercise room in the basement. In this space, we just needed something to dress the window. The client didn't want to open and close them, she just wanted to warm up the room a bit. We decided to accentuate the arched windows by using medallions instead of the rod with brackets you see in most rooms. We created a higher ceiling by taking the drapes all the way up to the crown molding and got to have a little more fun with the fabric pattern and the tassel trim on the inside edge of the drapes.
