A view from the living room into the dining, kitchen, and loft areas of the main living space. Windows and walk-outs on both levels allow views and ease of access to the lake at all times.

The formal living area in this Brooklyn brownstone once had an awful marble fireplace surround that didn't properly reflect the home's provenance. Sheetrock was peeled back to reveal the exposed brick chimney, we sourced a new mantel with dental molding from architectural salvage, and completed the surround with green marble tiles in an offset pattern. The chairs are Mid-Century Modern style and the love seat is custom-made in gray leather. Custom bookshelves and lower storage cabinets were also installed, overseen by antiqued-brass picture lights.

So much trim to look at in this living room. The window seat cozies up the space and allows for storage. The birch plywood shelves allowed the wood to be stained which added a nice contrast. We installed a slate 12x12 tile on the fireplace surround and then Ken worked his magic. He designed this fireplace surround and topped it with a piece of mahogany. This large living and dining area is flooded with natural light and has gorgeous high ceilings and views of the garden beyond. The brief was to make it a comfortable yet chic space for relaxing and entertaining. We added pops of colour, textures and patterns to add interest into the space.

A masterpiece of light and design, this gorgeous Beverly Hills contemporary is filled with incredible moments, offering the perfect balance of intimate corners and open spaces. A large driveway with space for ten cars is complete with a contemporary fountain wall that beckons guests inside. An amazing pivot door opens to an airy foyer and light-filled corridor with sliding walls of glass and high ceilings enhancing the space and scale of every room. An elegant study features a tranquil outdoor garden and faces an open living area with fireplace. A formal dining room spills into the incredible gourmet Italian kitchen with butler’s pantry—complete with Miele appliances, eat-in island and Carrara marble countertops—and an additional open living area is roomy and bright. Two well-appointed powder rooms on either end of the main floor offer luxury and convenience. This project is a refurbishment of a listed building, and conversion from office use to boutique hotel. A challenging scheme which requires careful consideration of an existing heritage asset while introducing a contemporary feel and aesthetic. As a former council owned office building, Group D assisted the developer in their bid to acquire the building and the project is ongoing with the target of opening in late 2023.
