We loved transforming this one-bedroom apartment in Chelsea. The list of changes was pretty long, but included rewiring, replastering, taking down the kitchen wall to make the lounge open-plan and replacing the floor throughout the apartment with beautiful hardwood. It was important for the client to have a home office desk, so we decided on an L-shape sofa to make maximum use of the space. The large pendant light added drama and a focal point to the room. And the off-white colour palette provided a subtle backdrop for the art. You'll notice that either side of the fireplace we have mirrored the wall, gives the illusion of the room being larger and also boosts the light flooding into the room.

We were tasked with a house to be done completely in white. Shades of white. In the end, it just seemed right. This living room might look formal, but the fabrics combines with the window and floor coverings say-please come in and stay awhile. Home to a mom and dad with 3 active teens, this room gets plenty of use.

This extremely complex project was developed in close collaboration between architect and client and showcases unmatched views over the Fal Estuary and Carrick Roads. Addressing the challenges of replacing a small holiday-let bungalow on very steeply sloping ground, the new dwelling now presents a three-bedroom, permanent residence on multiple levels. The ground floor provides access to parking and garage space, a roof-top garden and the building entrance, from where internal stairs and a lift access the first and second floors. The design evolved to be sympathetic to the context of the site and uses stepped-back levels and broken roof forms to reduce the sense of scale and mass. Inherent site constraints informed both the design and construction process and included the retention of significant areas of mature and established planting. Landscaping was an integral part of the design and green roof technology has been utilised on both the upper floor barrel roof and above the garage. Simplicity and understated luxury The property is a Grade II listed building in the Queen’s Gate Conservation area. It has been carefully refurbished to make the most out of its existing period features, with all structural elements and mechanical works untouched and preserved. The client asked for modest, understated modern luxury, and wanted to keep some of the family antique furniture. The flat has been transformed with the use of neutral, clean and simple elements that blend subtly with the architecture of the shell. Classic furniture and modern details complement and enhance one another. The focus in this project is on craftsmanship, handiwork and the use of traditional, natural, timeless materials. A mix of solid oak, stucco plaster, marble and bronze emphasize the building’s heritage. The raw stucco walls provide a simple, earthy warmth, referencing artisanal plasterwork. With its muted tones and rough-hewn simplicity, stucco is the perfect backdrop for the timeless furniture and interiors. Feature wall lights have been carefully placed to bring out the surface of the stucco, creating a dramatic feel throughout the living room and corridor. The bathroom and shower room employ subtle, minimal details, with elegant grey marble tiles and pale oak joinery creating warm, calming tones and a relaxed atmosphere.

This image showcases a bespoke joinery piece, a custom-built shelving unit, that exemplifies the meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful design approach of the company. The shelves are populated with a carefully selected array of items that blend aesthetics with functionality. Atop the unit sits a variety of objects including lush green plants that bring a touch of vitality to the space, decorative ceramic pieces that add an artistic flair, and books that suggest a cultured and intellectual environment. Among the items, a standout piece is a gold teardrop-shaped ornament that provides a luxurious accent to the composition. The shelving unit itself is painted in a subtle grey, complementing the room's neutral color palette, and is set against a wall with elegant crown molding, emphasizing the fusion of contemporary design with classic architectural elements. The arrangement of items on the shelves is both balanced and dynamic, creating visual interest through the interplay of different shapes, textures, and colors. Each element on the shelves appears intentional, contributing to an overall aesthetic that is both sophisticated and inviting. This bespoke joinery not only serves as a functional storage solution but also as a statement piece that reflects the company's commitment to creating custom interiors that are uniquely tailored to the client's taste and lifestyle.

Our clients wanted the ultimate modern farmhouse custom dream home. They found property in the Santa Rosa Valley with an existing house on 3 ½ acres. They could envision a new home with a pool, a barn, and a place to raise horses. JRP and the clients went all in, sparing no expense. Thus, the old house was demolished and the couple’s dream home began to come to fruition. The result is a simple, contemporary layout with ample light thanks to the open floor plan. When it comes to a modern farmhouse aesthetic, it’s all about neutral hues, wood accents, and furniture with clean lines. Every room is thoughtfully crafted with its own personality. Yet still reflects a bit of that farmhouse charm. Their considerable-sized kitchen is a union of rustic warmth and industrial simplicity. The all-white shaker cabinetry and subway backsplash light up the room. All white everything complimented by warm wood flooring and matte black fixtures. The stunning custom Raw Urth reclaimed steel hood is also a star focal point in this gorgeous space. Not to mention the wet bar area with its unique open shelves above not one, but two integrated wine chillers. It’s also thoughtfully positioned next to the large pantry with a farmhouse style staple: a sliding barn door. The master bathroom is relaxation at its finest. Monochromatic colors and a pop of pattern on the floor lend a fashionable look to this private retreat. Matte black finishes stand out against a stark white backsplash, complement charcoal veins in the marble looking countertop, and is cohesive with the entire look.
