Laundry with concealed washer and dryer behind doors one could think this was a butlers pantry instead. Open shelving to give a lived in personal look.

The compact and functional ground floor utility room and WC has been positioned where the original staircase used to be in the centre of the house. We kept to a paired down utilitarian style and palette when designing this practical space. A run of bespoke birch plywood full height cupboards for coats and shoes and a laundry cupboard with a stacked washing machine and tumble dryer. Tucked at the end is an enamel bucket sink and lots of open shelving storage. A simple white grid of tiles and the natural finish cork flooring which runs through out the house.

Our clients wanted the ultimate modern farmhouse custom dream home. They found property in the Santa Rosa Valley with an existing house on 3 ½ acres. They could envision a new home with a pool, a barn, and a place to raise horses. JRP and the clients went all in, sparing no expense. Thus, the old house was demolished and the couple’s dream home began to come to fruition. The result is a simple, contemporary layout with ample light thanks to the open floor plan. When it comes to a modern farmhouse aesthetic, it’s all about neutral hues, wood accents, and furniture with clean lines. Every room is thoughtfully crafted with its own personality. Yet still reflects a bit of that farmhouse charm. Their considerable-sized kitchen is a union of rustic warmth and industrial simplicity. The all-white shaker cabinetry and subway backsplash light up the room. All white everything complimented by warm wood flooring and matte black fixtures. The stunning custom Raw Urth reclaimed steel hood is also a star focal point in this gorgeous space. Not to mention the wet bar area with its unique open shelves above not one, but two integrated wine chillers. It’s also thoughtfully positioned next to the large pantry with a farmhouse style staple: a sliding barn door. The master bathroom is relaxation at its finest. Monochromatic colors and a pop of pattern on the floor lend a fashionable look to this private retreat. Matte black finishes stand out against a stark white backsplash, complement charcoal veins in the marble looking countertop, and is cohesive with the entire look. This is a mid-sized galley style laundry room with custom paint grade cabinets. These cabinets feature a beaded inset construction method with a high gloss sheen on the painted finish. We also included a rolling ladder for easy access to upper level storage areas.

Seabrook features miles of shoreline just 30 minutes from downtown Houston. Our clients found the perfect home located on a canal with bay access, but it was a bit dated. Freshening up a home isn’t just paint and furniture, though. By knocking down some walls in the main living area, an open floor plan brightened the space and made it ideal for hosting family and guests. Our advice is to always add in pops of color, so we did just with brass. The barstools, light fixtures, and cabinet hardware compliment the airy, white kitchen. The living room’s 5 ft wide chandelier pops against the accent wall (not that it wasn’t stunning on its own, though). The brass theme flows into the laundry room with built-in dog kennels for the client’s additional family members. We love how bright and airy this bayside home turned out!

This was a fun kitchen transformation to work on and one that was mainly about new finishes and new cabinetry. We kept almost all the major appliances where they were. We added beadboard, beams and new white oak floors for character.

For this knock down rebuild, in the established Canberra suburb of Yarralumla, the client's brief was modern Hampton style. The main finishes include Hardwood American Oak floors, shaker style joinery, patterned tiles and wall panelling, to create a classic, elegant and relaxed feel for this family home. Alongside Tschida Construction and Pro Design Custom Cabinetry, we upgraded a new build to maximum function and magazine worthy style. Changing swinging doors to pocket, stacking laundry units, and doing closed cabinetry options really made the space seem as though it doubled.
