Gabe purchased the House from a builder and found many inadequacies, including a cheap hollow core, Pantry door with his expensive cherry cabinets. After searching for something special, we decided to design and have a door custom made. The end result was so note worthy as it looked like it belonged there, few commented until we pointed out that it was in fact new. I did my job!

The rich Hague Blue color selected for the cabinetry is the perfect setting for the tile floor that was designed by the owners. Adding to the Parisian Bistro ambiance is the custom-built brass shelving display piece mounted on the hand-crafted, polished ceramic tile backsplash. No butler’s pantry would be complete without the SubZero Designer wine storage with refrigerator/freezer drawers. Simple white countertops create a clean line with the sink, while brass hardware completes the space.

The space was clad in stained oak custom cabinetry and a white veined marble. We sourced encaustic tile for floors to channel a Mediterranean-inspired aesthetic that exudes both modernism and tradition.

The kitchen took the combination of classic and contemporary to a new level, capping the existing upper cabinets with beveled-glass doors to tie in the entire home’s remodel.

To enhance a clean aesthetic, we customized the cabinet boxes to avoid any distracting seams, common with inset kitchens. But at the same time, we used decorative feet on the end cabinets and bead board accents to achieve that furniture look common in historic farmhouses. Additional nods to the farmhouse schematic include mullion glass doors, an apron front sink, beveled subway tile, turn latch knobs and bin pulls all in oiled rubbed bronze and a magnificent mushroom wood and copper custom hood.
