Robin Stancliff photo credits. This kitchen had a complete transformation, and now it is beautiful, bright, and much more accessible! To accomplish my goals for this kitchen, I had to completely demolish the walls surrounding the kitchen, only keeping the attractive exposed load bearing posts and the HVAC system in place. I also left the existing pony wall, which I turned into a breakfast area, to keep the electric wiring in place. A challenge that I encountered was that my client wanted to keep the original Saltillo tile that gives her home it’s Southwestern flair, while having an updated kitchen with a mid-century modern aesthetic. Ultimately, the vintage Saltillo tile adds a lot of character and interest to the new kitchen design. To keep things clean and minimal, all of the countertops are easy-to-clean white quartz. Since most of the cooking will be done on the new induction stove in the breakfast area, I added a uniquely textured three-dimensional backsplash to give a more decorative feel. Since my client wanted the kitchen to be disability compliant, we put the microwave underneath the counter for easy access and added ample storage space beneath the counters rather than up high. With a full view of the surrounding rooms, this new kitchen layout feels very open and accessible. The crisp white cabinets and wall color is accented by a grey island and updated lighting throughout. Now, my client has a kitchen that feels open and easy to maintain while being safe and useful for people with disabilities.

Bold, bright and beautiful. Just three of the many words we could use to describe the insanely cool Redhill Kitchen. The bespoke J-Groove cabinetry keeps this kitchen sleek and smooth, with light reflecting off the slab doors to keep the room open and spacious. Oak accents throughout the room softens the bold blue cabinetry, and grey tiles create a beautiful contrast between the two blues in the the room. Integrated appliances ensure that the burgundy Rangemaster is always the focus of the eye, and the reclaimed gym flooring makes the room so unique. This open-plan basement kitchen feels bright and inviting with a nice free to the generous amount of natural light flooding the space and the curved shelving units that aesthetically leads you from one space to another. A white Corian work top wraps around grey silk finished lacquered draws creating a contemporary feel and storage has been concealed to achieve a smart look. David Giles

Tournant le dos à la terrasse malgré la porte-fenêtre qui y menait, l’agencement de la cuisine de ce bel appartement marseillais ne convenait plus aux propriétaires. La porte-fenêtre a été déplacée de façon à se retrouver au centre de la façade. Une fenêtre simple l’a remplacée, ce qui a permis d’installer l’évier devant et de profiter ainsi de la vue sur la terrasse.. Dissimulés derrière un habillage en plaqué chêne, le frigo et les rangements ont été rassemblés sur le mur opposé. C’est le contraste entre le papier peint à motifs et la brillance des zelliges qui apporte couleurs et fantaisie à cette cuisine devenue bien plus fonctionnelle pour une grande famille !. Newly remodeled kitchen is fresh and crisp. Original layout had a microwave over the range which were removed to create a custom range hood and adequate vent for the gas cooktop. The existing cabinets were painted Benjamin Moore Acadia White to match existing base & crown molding of home. Cesar Stone quartz countertops replaced existing builder grade granite. New wide plank engineered hardwood w/ an antiqued medium stain floors replaced existing narrow planked golden oak. New glass globe pendant lighting installed over island. This kitchen was a great transformation of a small separate kitchen to a large open space. We removed a wall, getting rid of an awkward seating space and make a little nook to separate the Powder room. Overall, a much more functional use of the space.

Holistic Home Renovation -Series 5: "The Kitchen" (See 2-24 Post for full description) Hard to believe when looking at this inviting yet spacious kitchen, that it's predecessor was small, dark and awkward. We ripped out walls, bumped-out 4', added windows and totally reconfigured the layout. Two sinks, 2 dishwashers, chef-ready Wolf range, one-of-a-kind Vent-a-hood custom hood with brass accents, Subzero fridge, elegant furniture-grade cabinetry, Statuary Classique Quartz countertops, Grothouse wood bar and island tops, Dynasty Omega custom cabinetry with soothing Blue Lagoon accent paint are just some of the great features.

We transformed this dated kitchen with modern cabinets using Tree Frog Veneers, accenting with clean lines. We built in large windows to act as the backsplash. This allowing the space to feel as if you are outside.
