This photo highlights the lovely custom-designed and built cabinets by Draper DBS that feature a gray pearl finish that brings an understated elegance to the semblance of a "white kitchen". White calcutta marble tops and backsplashes add to the clean feel and flow of the space. Also featured is a custom designed and manufactured stainless steel range hood by Rangecraft. This dramatic design takes its inspiration from the past but retains the best of the present. Exterior highlights include an unusual third-floor cupola that offers birds-eye views of the surrounding countryside, charming cameo windows near the entry, a curving hipped roof and a roomy three-car garage. Inside, an open-plan kitchen with a cozy window seat features an informal eating area. The nearby formal dining room is oval-shaped and open to the second floor, making it ideal for entertaining. The adjacent living room features a large fireplace, a raised ceiling and French doors that open onto a spacious L-shaped patio, blurring the lines between interior and exterior spaces. Informal, family-friendly spaces abound, including a home management center and a nearby mudroom. Private spaces can also be found, including the large second-floor master bedroom, which includes a tower sitting area and roomy his and her closets. Also located on the second floor is family bedroom, guest suite and loft open to the third floor. The lower level features a family laundry and craft area, a home theater, exercise room and an additional guest bedroom.

We completed this dramatic Kensal Rise project in collaboration with Trevor Brown Architects, the firm responsible for refurbishing and extending our client’s home. The interior was designed with a view to creating a classic yet contemporary space for entertaining. A large roof light extending over the side return, and stylish crittall doors flood the room with natural light. This bright space is the perfect match for Little Greene’s striking, almost black, Obsidian Green hue. From the seating area to the internal doors, the statement monochrome palette brings a luxurious modern edge to our painted shaker furniture.

The translucent like quality of the marble island bench becomes apparent in the morning when sunlight shines across it.

This spectacular two-tone West Pennant Hills kitchen cleverly incorporates all the practical needs of a family space without compromising visual appeal and charm. The heart of a bustling family home, the elongated space required extensive yet discreet pantry storage and a large work surface. Inspired, but not restricted, by the Hamptons style, we carefully selected each element to create a visual feast. The black island stretches impressively along the length of the kitchen, its striking Calacatta marble Benchtop presenting a substantial work surface. The dark cabinetry expresses a sense of depth, contrasted against the backdrop of tall white cabinetry. Disappearing into the clean white surroundings, the Ceasarstone bench in Pure White complements the tiled splashback, allowing the Calacatta island to be the hero. Extensive pantry storage and space for appliances are subtly integrated behind large bi-fold cupboards, while two refrigerators, flush-mount sinks and under-cabinet lighting focus on attention to detail and articulate design. This property was completely gutted and redesigned into a single family townhouse. After completing the construction of the house I staged the furniture, lighting and decor. Staging is a new service that my design studio is now offering.
