This house was designed to maintain clean sustainability and durability. Minimal, simple, modern design techniques were implemented to create an open floor plan with natural light. The entry of the home, clad in wood, was created as a transitional space between the exterior and the living spaces by creating a feeling of compression before entering into the voluminous, light filled, living area. The large volume, tall windows and natural light of the living area allows for light and views to the exterior in all directions. This project also considered our clients' need for storage and love for travel by creating storage space for an Airstream camper in the oversized 2 car garage at the back of the property. As in all of our homes, we designed and built this project with increased energy efficiency standards in mind. Our standards begin below grade by designing our foundations with insulated concrete forms (ICF) for all of our exterior foundation walls, providing the below grade walls with an R value of 23. As a standard, we also install a passive radon system and a heat recovery ventilator to efficiently mitigate the indoor air quality within all of the homes we build.

DUTCHish.com Nestled at the foot of Rocky Mountain National Park is a modern cabin that celebrates the outdoors. The home wraps up from the site, framing the Great Room with views of the meadows and mountain range beyond. The kitchen design is shrouded in natural, raw materials. Steel, concrete, and timber beams frame spectacular views of the environment beyond. Keep it simple: rustic materials meet modern form to make a timeless home. The owners sought a space that enabled them to engage with the grandeur of the Rockies, embodied their beliefs in sustainability and provided a home for entertaining friends and guests alike.

Galley Kitchen boasts concrete countertops and stainless steel backsplashes. Cabinetry is Wood-Mode cinnabar on Oak. Appliances and hood are all stainless steel.

The induction hob has a built in extractor fan. The hanging pendant lights are vintage from reclaimed materials. The pitched oak ceiling creates a bright and airy feeling in this beautiful space. In the background a wine crate has been repurposed into a shelf next to a brushed stainless steel unit with integrated Smeg oven and fridge freezer. A thoroughly industrial range of materials sitting in contrast with this bright and open space makes for an interesting and of course totally bespoke kitchen. Our latest project within a new build property located in County Durham, is an adaption of the existing layout using furniture materials inspired by Scandinavian design complimented with Karndean Designflooring Weathered Elm and Neolith New York-New York concrete effect Sintered Stone work-surfaces. A modest size island provides additional prep space, occasional dining and increased storage.

The copper carlisle bar stools are a perfect addition for a breakfast bar. The vintage hanging pendant lights above add a subtle industrial element. The pitched oak ceiling along with the large windows create a lovely space full of light. Limestone flooring blend in with all the other elements seamlessly ​A wall of glass frames a beautiful view and brings the outside inside. The minimalist approach continues down to the smallest details such as the thin frames for the glass panels. Non-intrusive and totally perfect for this wonderful new build.
