Au pied du métro Saint-Placide, ce spacieux appartement haussmannien abrite un jeune couple qui aime les belles choses. J’ai choisi de garder les moulures et les principaux murs blancs, pour mettre des touches de bleu et de vert sapin, qui apporte de la profondeur à certains endroits de l’appartement. La cuisine ouverte sur le salon, en marbre de Carrare blanc, accueille un ilot qui permet de travailler, cuisiner tout en profitant de la lumière naturelle. Des touches de laiton viennent souligner quelques détails, et des meubles vintage apporter un côté stylisé, comme le buffet recyclé en meuble vasque dans la salle de bains au total look New-York rétro.

New butler’s pantry we created after removing the stove and the closet in the old kitchen. // This room makes a big design statement, from the hex tile, Alba Vera marble counters, custom cabinets and pendant light fixtures. // The pendant lights are from Circa Lighting, and match the brass of the drawer and door pulls. // The 3x12 subway tile runs from countertop to the ceiling. // One side of the butler’s pantry features a dish pantry with custom glass-front cabinets and drawer storage. // The other side features the main sink, dishwasher and custom cabinets. This butler’s pantry keeps dirty dishes out of sight from the guests and entertaining area. // Designer refers to it as the jewel of the kitchen

The parameters were simple, “Keep it clean and contemporary, and we want to keep the existing floor.” Inspiration: Create a space that is not only beautiful, but state-of-the-art with top notch appliances, plenty of storage, and bold modern finishes.

Messing ist nichts für Putzteufel. Die Inspiration hatte die Bauherrin natürlich von Instagram und die Materialeigenschaften waren bekannt und sogar erwünscht. "Das paßt zu unserem alten Haus!" (Tatsächlich sieht es auf dem Foto nicht so gut aus wie in Wirklichkeit. Der warme Schimmer durchbricht das viele Schwarz.)

We started the new design with the cement tile floor and then built the color scheme. Once we nailed the floor, everything else fell into place.

Full of intricate details that set it apart from the crowd, elements of this design delight and inspire you wherever you look in the room. Rich walnut is the perfect choice of timber for the statement island in this design, as it adds a sense of exclusivity and intensity that’s perfect for an island of this size. Painted panels add an interesting, eye catching element to the island and helps to keep everything feeling fresh and different. The owners wanted a space to entertain family and friends- cook, eat, and socialise together. So Naked Kitchens designed a kitchen that was perfect for this. The cool, patterned floor feels natural and contrasts perfectly with the rich walnut timber and cool, neutral cabinetry. The classic shaker cabinets are perfect in this property, they are simple and sophisticated and sit perfectly alongside the elegant marble. A corner of the room is designated as a coffee making station- what a wonderful room to entertain in and come down to breakfast to every morning. The beauty of a Naked Kitchen is that it is entirely bespoke, and you can have exactly what you want. Check out this beautiful open kitchen project. More and more homeowners dream of creating a kitchen that is fluid and simple but still has great functionality for normal family life. For this project we aimed to create an open room that could serve many purposes. We took our time picking out the right materials for the kitchen to make it minimalist but eloquent.
