Bay Area Custom Cabinetry: wine bar sideboard in family room connects to galley kitchen. This custom cabinetry built-in has two wind refrigerators installed side-by-side, one having a hinged door on the right side and the other on the left. The countertop is made of seafoam green granite and the backsplash is natural slate. These custom cabinets were made in our own award-winning artisanal cabinet studio. Island, Butler's Pantry and 2 wall units feature Brookhaven cabinets. These units use the Lace with Charcoal Glaze and Rub-through on the Square Edge Winfield Raised with detailed drawerheads door style. Wall units have seedy glass fronted cabinets with interior lighting for display. Center Butler's Pantry cabinets are glass framed for fine china display. The backsplash of the Butler's Pantry has a wood back with an Autumn with Black Glaze finish that matches the rest of the kitchen. This expansive kitchen houses two sink stations; a farmhouse sink facing the hood and a veggie sink on the island. The farmhouse sink area is designed with decorative leg posts and decorative toe kick valance. This beautiful traditional kitchen features a Verde Vecchio Granite. A shallow pantry, next to the exposed chimney add warmth and gives the functionality of additional counter space. Farrow & Ball Black Blue Shaker Painted Cabinets were softened with wood countertops and knobs to create a Rustic Farmhouse feel. Green granite around the sink on the island was used for durability and to add another natural texture.

Transfer from Chicago to San Francisco. We did his home in Chicago. Which incidentally appeared on the cover of Chicago Home Interiors. The client is a google executive transplanted. The home is roughly 1500 sq. ft and sits right in the middle of the Castro District. Art deco and arts and craft detailing. The client opted to go with color, and they drove the color scheme. The living room was awkward with only one plain wall. It needed to accommodate entertaining, audio and video use, and be a workspace. Additionally, the client wanted the room to transition easily weather it was just him and his partner or many guests. We opted to do central furniture arrangements. Therefore, we took advantage of the fireplace, large window focal point and added a media wall as a third focal point. Dining is a large square table with two large buffets. The unique feature is a ceiling mural. The color scheme is moody browns greens and purples.

Finishes include an 18x18 black slate floor, Kraftmaid Venezia cabinets, Italian "linen" tile backsplash in random widths and "wood floor" pattern.

ES ist vollbracht, ein Unikat ist entstanden. Als erstes wurde die alte Küche abgebaut und die Elektrik für die neue Küche und die neuen Leuchten verlegt. Danach wurden die alten Fliesen entfernt, die Wände verputzt, geglättet und in einem zarten Rosaton gestrichen. Der wunderschöne Betonspachtelboden wurde von unserem Malermeister in den Raum gezaubert. Dann war es soweit, die neue Küche wurde geliefert und die Montage konnte beginnen. Wir haben uns für eine polarweiß matte Front mit graphitgrauen Korpus (Innenleben) entschieden. An den Fronten finden unsere gedrechselten, massiven Nussbaumknöpfe ihren perfekten Platz, die mit der maßangefertigten Wandverkleidung (dahinter versteckt sich der Heizkörper) und der Sitzgruppe super harmonieren. Selbst die Besteckeinsätze sind aus Nussbaum gefertigt. Die Geräte stammen alle, bis auf den Siemens-Einbauwaschtrockner, der sich links neben der Spüle hinter der Tür verbirgt, aus dem Hause Miele. Die Spüle und Armatur kommen aus der Schmiede der Dornbracht Manufaktur, deren Verarbeitung und Design einzigartig ist. Um dem ganzen die Krone aufzusetzen haben wir uns beim Granit für einen, nur für uns gelieferten Stein entschieden. Wir hatten diesen im letzten Sommer in Italien entdeckt und mussten diesen unbedingt haben. Die Haptik ist ähnlich wie Leder und fühlt sich samtweich an. Nach der erfolgreichen Montage wurden noch die weißen Panzeri Einbaustrahler eingebaut und wir konnten die Glasschiebetüre montieren. Bei dieser haben wir uns bewusst für eine weiße Oberführung entschieden damit am Boden keine Schiene zu sehen ist. Bilder (c) raumwerkstätten GmbH
