Caring for aging parents is both a joy and a challenge. The clients wanted to create a more aging-in-place friendly basement area for their mother. The existing kitchenette was more of a glorified bar and did not give her the option of cooking independently, and definitely not stylishly. We re-configured the area so it was all open, with full kitchen capabilities. All appliances were selected to cater to the mother's limited reach, so all functional storage and product usage can be done without raising arms excessively. Special storage solutions include a peg-system for a dish drawer, tiered silverware trays, a slide-up appliance garage, and pivoting pantry storage. The cabinets also give ample display space for her collection of antique glassware. In lieu of an island, we created a solid-surface top for a standard table so food can be prepped while sitting and without damaging the table top. All items reflect the mother's tastes and existing furniture so she can truly feel like this basement is her space, while still being close to her son and daughter-in-law.

Medallion Platinum inset Bayside non-beaded face frame cabinets in the Magnolia Classic paint finish accented with Riverside Knobs and pulls in Honey Bronze finish. The countertop is 3cm Quartzite Taj Mahal with pencil round edge profile with a 2cm Temple White quartz window sill. The backsplash is WOW crafted handmade gloss white subway tile with accent tile behind the cooktop/hood with Calacatta polished pencil edge. Paylor Armed sconces in Brushed Brass with a Monroe two light Antique Brass chandelier with a hand crafted hardback shade over the island. A Bocchi Contempo Apron Front Sink in white with Brizo Tulham single handle pull down faucet and hot water faucet in luxe gold/polished gold finish. On the floor is Congoleum Triversa Prime Oak Grove vinyl plank flooring in Warm Grey color. Andersen Casement Combo 200 Series Patio Doors with white exterior and interior were installed.

This dated kitchen was ready to be transformed by our magic wand! The wall between the kitchen and dining room was removed to create one larger room with an island and space for a dining table. Our team of carpenters installed all new custom crafted cherry cabinets with Hanstone Serenity quartz countertops. Natural stone tile was installed for the backsplash and luxury vinyl plank flooring was installed throughout the room. All new Frigidaire Professional appliances in stainless were installed, including french door refrigerator, electric cooktop and range hood, a built-in wall oven, convection microwave oven and dishwasher.

Home remodel with large island contains an under counter refrigerator and ample storage. Hickory Hood and Island in Dura Supreme Cabinets. Door style on Hickory is Lancaster door style in Hickory stain finish Caraway, low gloss finish. Perimeter cabinets in Linen White finish on the Carson door style. Quartz by Corian is Coarse Pepper on the perimeter with island in quarts Vicostone Diamante. Lovely tile found at local tile store pulls the look together with the L.V. plank floors through the first floor for a full updated look.

Pour ce projet le propriétaire m'a donné carte blanche pour la décoration. J J'ai voulu faire de cet endroit un lieu où l'on se sent comme dans un cocon. Je voulais que les occupants oublient qu'ils sont en ville, c'est pourquoi j'ai utilisé une peinture vert foncé pour les murs et matières naturelles. J'ai choisi des produits de qualité, j'ai fait réalisé la table et les chaises par un fabricant français. La cuisine a été réalisé par le menuisier avec qui je travaille. Le papier peint est également de fabrication française. Le mobilier a été acheté chez un commerçant local. Le propriétaire est très content du résultat, il n'en revient pas du changement opéré.

This kitchen remodel in Lakewood has undergone such an amazing transformation from a dark, dated space to bright and functional! We experienced many obstacles in this tight space but was able to design around the challenges to create a beautiful and functional space. The original design intent was to bring the cabinets all the way to the ceiling but found out this wasn’t an option as all the soffits had interior mechanical systems and couldn’t be reconfigured. One solution was to raise the soffits on the range and sink walls to gain an extra 6” of cabinet space and build out the soffit above the refrigerator to create a custom built-in look. This extension of the soffit created the perfect opportunity for a narrow pantry cabinet facing the dining room which adds much needed storage space. By painting the soffits the same color as the cabinets, we were able to install the crown trim on top of the soffit in lieu of the cabinets to create the illusion of taller cabinets and lengthening the ceiling height. We omitted the wall cabinet to the left of the range to create a more open space both visibly and functionally. This provided the opportunity to install an accent pendant over the open counter which has been lowered to maintain one counter height throughout for a seamless look. Decorative door panels give the perfect finishing touches on the cabinetry and truly convey a custom look. The cabinets were finished in Waypoint’s Shaker style in Linen color and were paired with Amrock’s stunning gunmetal finish hardware. The existing floor tile was replaced with Daltile’s Forest Park Maple wood-look plank which now extends into the dining room creating a natural separation of kitchen/dining space to the adjacent Family room. The warmth of the floor tile compliments the Linen cabinetry color and Gunmetal finishes throughout. This beautiful kitchen offers a beautiful and functional design solution and we are thrilled our client can love their personalized kitchen for many years to come!

We created a not only functional space but one that allows everyone an opportunity to be part of the magic that happens in the kitchen. The painted white DuraSupreme kitchen cabinets create a bright backdrop for this traditional style kitchen design, accessorized with Top Knobs black finish hardware. This is beautifully highlighted by natural light through the Anderson windows, along with Uttermost pendant lights and Hafele undercabinet and in cabinet lighting. The stained island cabinetry and Apollo luxury vinyl flooring offer a warm contrast to the white perimeter cabinets. A Kohler white haven farmhouse sink fits in perfectly with this design, along with a Sigma faucet and Mountain Air switch. The design also includes a bar area with an undercounter beverage refrigerator and eye-catching Walker Zanger tile feature, plus Kitchenaid appliances and a Sharp microwave drawer. Granite countertops, a custom drywalled and painted Jay Rambo hood, Task Lighting powerstrips, and handmade white subway tile are among the features that set this kitchen apart. This Kitchen was designed by Nicole in our Windham showroom. This kitchen remodel features Cabico Essence Cabinets with Maple wood Tobio door style (recessed panel) and Mexico (dark brown) stain finish. This remodel also features LG Viatera quartz countertop with Aria color and standard edge. The floor is an Alterna 12x 24 blanched mists from their Historical District collection. Their backsplash is 3 x12 mist from their element collection with lighter pewter grout color. Other features include Kohler stainless steel sink and faucet and Amerock stainless steel bar handles.

Refined yet natural. A white wire-brush gives the natural wood tone a distinct depth, lending it to a variety of spaces.
