This kitchen was initially a U shape separate room off the corridor. It was dark and isolated from the rest of the apartment. We decided to knock down the walls separating it from the living area and design this small but stunning and practical kitchen.

The rear extension to the property, leading to the beautifully designed garden and outdoor gym, has vaulted ceilings to enhance the space and paired roof windows on both roof slopes to flood the space with natural lights at different time of the day. The kitchen has a large central island that doubles as the main dining area of the property.

This kitchen was initially a U shape separate room off the corridor. It was dark and isolated from the rest of the apartment. We decided to knock down the walls separating it from the living area and design this small but stunning and practical kitchen.

BEFORE & AFTER! We started this journey a couple months ago. Angela came up with the idea of using the existing cabinets since they were of excellent quality. So we were left with paint colors, back splash and counter top. She also wanted to replace all of the appliances. Up first, Crystal from Shabby Brown Restore, to look at painting these cabinets in an off-Black-Gloss. Since it didn't have much natural light, I suggested gloss to bounce the light around. The end result is stunning, but not recommended for families with young kids, AKA "messy" fingerprints. Crystal and her husband did an incredible job and I'd recommend them to anyone considering such an endeavor. Next up, Albany Marble, to choose back splash and counter-top, material. Angela fell in love with this gorgeous, natural Quartz and the glass backsplash is super fun. I always use Albany Marble, for all my solid surface and tile needs. Albany Marble is a direct importer, so truly one cannot beat the prices and the welcoming customer service is stellar! The original kitchen didn't have enough cabinets, so we extended the Refrigerator wall, by adding 4 more uppers and lowers. We also had to cut off the Bar counter to even out and enlarge the counter space. As you can see, the end result is over the top! Incroyable métamorphose à Lèves. Une cuisine refaite à neuf du sol au plafond dans les tons gris et bois. Une très belle luminosité apportée par des spots disposés dans le coffrage au plafond et sous les meubles hauts. L’ensemble des appareils type cafetière, grille pain, etc. sont dissimulés dans un meuble rideau, comme le souhaitait ma cliente. Le reste de l’électroménager s’accorde parfaitement à la cuisine. Cette fois encore, nous avons accentué la profondeur de la pièce grâce à un îlot central qui sert à la fois de plan de travail et de coin repas. D’ailleurs, saviez-vous que sa surface n’était pas en bois massif tout comme celle du plan de travail ? Nous avons utilisé du stratifié bois à pores synchronisés. Même texture au toucher, même aspect visuel, il est résistant à l’abrasion et extrêmement facile à entretenir.
