Our new clients lived in a charming Spanish-style house in the historic Larchmont area of Los Angeles. Their kitchen, which was obviously added later, was devoid of style and desperately needed a makeover. While they wanted the latest in appliances they did want their new kitchen to go with the style of their house. The en trend choices of patterned floor tile and blue cabinets were the catalysts for pulling the whole look together.

This Transitional Farmhouse Kitchen was completely remodeled and the home is nestled on the border of Pasadena and South Pasadena. Our goal was to keep the original charm of our client’s home while updating the kitchen in a way that was fresh and current. Our design inspiration began with a deep green soapstone counter top paired with creamy white cabinetry. Carrera marble subway tile for the backsplash is a luxurious splurge and adds classic elegance to the space. The stainless steel appliances and sink create a more transitional feel, while the shaker style cabinetry doors and schoolhouse light fixture are in keeping with the original style of the home. Tile flooring resembling concrete is clean and simple and seeded glass in the upper cabinet doors help make the space feel open and light. This kitchen has a hidden microwave and custom range hood design, as well as a new pantry area, for added storage. The pantry area features an appliance garage and deep-set counter top for multi-purpose use. These features add value to this small space. The finishing touches are polished nickel cabinet hardware, which add a vintage look and the cafe curtains are the handiwork of the homeowner. In this Hell's Kitchen kitchen in midtown Manhattan, interior designer Ellen Z. Wright of Apartment Rehab NYC designed the space with storage in mind. An outcrop by the window created a narrow niche down the length of the wall that her clients didn't know what to do with. Ellen designed an 8" deep bank of upper and lower cabinets perfect for pantry and glassware storage. A wood-look tile backsplash and stone-gray floors offer an earthy, elemental vibe, and the transitional design style is great for resale value.

In order to create a more intimate and warm feeling in the existing kitchen, we installed 3 over sized pendants that combined the silver and gold tones that would be simultaneously experienced in the sitting area adjacent to the kitchen. We also purchased new wood counter stools in a textured multi-toned fabric that directly related to the light fixtures Kaskel Photography

Traditional raised panel custom kitchen designed and supplied by Teoria Interiors. The look was completed with Subzero & Wolf appliances, Satin brass finish door hardware and a beautiful quartzite stone for countertop and backsplash.

After many years of careful consideration and planning, these clients came to us with the goal of restoring this home’s original Victorian charm while also increasing its livability and efficiency. From preserving the original built-in cabinetry and fir flooring, to adding a new dormer for the contemporary master bathroom, careful measures were taken to strike this balance between historic preservation and modern upgrading. Behind the home’s new exterior claddings, meticulously designed to preserve its Victorian aesthetic, the shell was air sealed and fitted with a vented rainscreen to increase energy efficiency and durability. With careful attention paid to the relationship between natural light and finished surfaces, the once dark kitchen was re-imagined into a cheerful space that welcomes morning conversation shared over pots of coffee. Every inch of this historical home was thoughtfully considered, prompting countless shared discussions between the home owners and ourselves. New kitchen renovation in Clearwater, FL (Countryside area). Client's kitchen was original to the home and was in need of a refresh. We opened up the space by removing a dividing wall between the kitchen and living area to create a fresh feel in the home. Added Diamond Vibe cabinets and new quartz countertops to finish it off.
