This Kitchen was renovated into an open concept space with a large island and custom cabinets - that provide ample storage including a wine fridge and coffee station. The details in this space reflect the client's fun personalities! With a punch of blue on the island, that coordinates with the patterned tile above the range. The funky bar stools are as comfortable as they are fabulous. Lastly, the mini fan cools off the space while industrial pendants illuminate the island seating. Maintenance was also at the forefront of this design when specifying quartz counter-tops, porcelain flooring, ceramic backsplash, and granite composite sinks. These all contribute to easy living. 古い住まいは南側に、勤めのため日中誰もいない個室があり、キッチンは日の射さない北側に、茶の間は西日射す北西の角にありました。そこで個室を移し、南側窓を大きくとり開放的にし、居間食堂キッチンをワンルームにしました。 キッチンカウンターから居間のソファー越しに南の庭が見える対面式のセンターキッチンにしました。 奥様のお気に入りのガラストップのカウンターにし、洗面脱衣室のそばで、食堂、居間のソファー、テレビ、デッキ、庭、等全てが見渡せる、コントロールセンターのような位置にあります。

A high performance and sustainable mountain home. The kitchen and dining area is one big open space allowing for lots of countertop, a huge dining table (4.5’x7.5’) with booth seating, and big appliances for large family meals.

Beautiful bright orange subway tile makes a statement in this modern kitchen. Cabinets in two different colors with stainless steel appliances are given a finished look with bold orange glass mosaic tiles. The tiles are set vertically for a unique twist.

Open concept wins again! This kitchen features natural stained wood floors throughout, along with black cabinets and sueded, YES! Sueded countertops. The client also desired a smart kitchen, so we made it happen. All of the appliances can be either started or monitored via the manufacturers smartphone app. As to not block the view into the family room, we opted for these nearly invisible glass globe pendants to keep the line of sight clean and as clear as possible. We went simple with the back splash, white oversized subway tile with black grout, allowing these black cabinets to stand out as the highlight of this kitchen. Did I mention the countertops are sueded?

“With the open-concept floor plan, this kitchen needed to have a galley layout,” Ellison says. A large island helps delineate the kitchen from the other rooms around it. These include a dining area directly behind the kitchen and a living room to the right of the dining room. This main floor also includes a small TV lounge, a powder room and a mudroom. The house sits on a slope, so this main level enjoys treehouse-like canopy views out the back. The bedrooms are on the walk-out lower level.“These homeowners liked grays and neutrals, and their style leaned contemporary,” Ellison says. “They also had a very nice art collection.” The artwork is bright and colorful, and a neutral scheme provided the perfect backdrop for it. They also liked the idea of using durable laminate finishes on the cabinetry. The laminates have the look of white oak with vertical graining. The galley cabinets are lighter and warmer, while the island has the look of white oak with a gray wash for contrast. The countertops and backsplash are polished quartzite. The quartzite adds beautiful natural veining patterns and warm tones to the room.
