This spacious outdoor kitchen brings multi-season cooking, dining, and entertainment areas together in a space that seems to be at one with the rolling hills and expansive views of the countryside. The weathered graphite finish of the cabinetry pairs beautifully with the Douglas Fir Timber that surrounds, allowing the design to blend seamlessly into the beauty of the backyard.

At the core of this transformation was the client’s aspiration for an open, interconnected space. The removal of barriers between the kitchen, dining, and living areas created an expansive, fluid layout, elevating the home’s ambiance and facilitating seamless interaction among spaces. The new open layout is the perfect space to cook and entertain merging sophistication with functionality. The journey began with the client’s exploration of colors, eventually embracing Benjamin Moore’s Hale Navy blue as the cornerstone for the cabinetry. This choice set the stage for a harmonious palette that tied in with the living and dining room furniture and rugs. Integrating a natural stone countertop became a focal point, incorporating these varied hues while gold fixtures added a touch of luxury and sophistication. Throughout the design process, challenges were met with innovative solutions. Space optimization was key, requiring strategic placement of appliances like a smaller-width refrigerator alongside a pull-out pantry cabinet. The island, a central feature, not only provided additional seating but replaced the need for a separate table and chairs, optimizing the space for gatherings and enhancing the flow between the kitchen and the adjoining areas. The revitalized kitchen now stands as a vibrant hub for social interaction. The homeowner seamlessly integrates into gatherings, no longer confined by kitchen walls, while guests engage effortlessly in the cooking process at the island. This transformation embodies the convergence of beauty and functionality, where every design element tells a story of thoughtful innovation and meticulous attention to detail.

In this space we removed the existing wall that was in between the kitchen and the living room and also reframed the roof line in order to create this vaulted ceiling.

A newly built home is outfitted with a luxury designed Italian Kitchen with high gloss gray tall cabinets and a brown tone veneer island. The veneer island top is placed on the stone top for an eclectic look and feel. The butler's pantry is directly behind the kitchen. The space is open to the dining and living areas as well as the outdoors.

BEFORE - Modern materials were chosen to fit the existing style of the home. Mahogany cabinets topped with Caesarstone countertops in Nougat and Raven were accented by 24×24-inch recycled porcelain tile with 1-inch glass penny round decos. Elsewhere in the kitchen, quality appliances were re-used. The oven was located in its original brick wall location. The microwave convection oven was located neatly under the island countertop. A tall pull out pantry was included to the left of the refrigerator. The island became the focus of the design. It provided the main food prep and cooking area, and helped direct traffic through the space, keeping guests comfortable on one side and cooks on the other. Large porcelain tiles clad the back side of the island to protect the surface from feet on stools and accent the surrounding surfaces.

With its rich, warm cabinetry and a design built to endure Minnesota weather, this outdoor kitchen is perfect for a summer day by the pool, a fall family cookout, or just a cold beer while watching the sunset.

A return to vintage European Design. These beautiful classic and refined floors are crafted out of French White Oak, a premier hardwood species that has been used for everything from flooring to shipbuilding over the centuries due to its stability.

We brought this 17 year old kitchen into the year 2020! This homeowner needed more "usable" counter space for all the entertaining they do. They needed more functional storage, but mostly they needed a better flow to their tight kitchen, living room and dinette space. We took this kitchen down to the studs and redesigned their space to make all of these needs happen.
