From the moment the Browns first visited the dilapidated Victorian vicarage they fell in love with its potential. Having been unoccupied for over a decade, the five-bedroom detached property in Essex was inhabitable. However, with its original period features all still intact, the scale and proportions of the building provided the perfect opportunity to create a unique family home. The original kitchen was in a part of the Vicarage that was only single skinned (wall thickness), therefore, to comply with modern building standards the room needed to be rebuilt. This provided the couple with the opportunity to increase the space available to accommodate a spacious kitchen-diner. To complement the Victorian heritage of the property the kitchen furniture was designed in Davonport’s classic Tillingham shaker-style cabinetry and hand-painted in Farrow and Ball’s Hague Blue with striking bronze elements. A selection of luxury appliances from Sub-zero Wolf, Miele, and Quooker were chosen by the Browns to suit their lifestyle – they especially missed the ease of a hot water tap whilst living in rented accommodation when they were renovating!

This full remodel project featured a complete redo of the existing kitchen. Designed and Planned by J. Graham of Bancroft Blue Design, the entire layout of the space was thoughtfully executed with unique blending of details, a one of a kind Coffer ceiling accent piece with integrated lighting, and a ton of features within the cabinets.

The custom kitchen has views in three directions. It is bathed in light and natural materials. The perfectly designed banquette is upholstered in the matching fabric to the chairs. All of the finishes on the cabinets, along with the metal clavo detailing was inspired by the homeowners love for handmade beauty. This kitchen is circular in flow and rounded in character!

We had the privilege of transforming the kitchen space of a beautiful Grade 2 listed farmhouse located in the serene village of Great Bealings, Suffolk. The property, set within 2 acres of picturesque landscape, presented a unique canvas for our design team. Our objective was to harmonise the traditional charm of the farmhouse with contemporary design elements, achieving a timeless and modern look. For this project, we selected the Davonport Shoreditch range. The kitchen cabinetry, adorned with cock-beading, was painted in 'Plaster Pink' by Farrow & Ball, providing a soft, warm hue that enhances the room's welcoming atmosphere. The countertops were Cloudy Gris by Cosistone, which complements the cabinetry's gentle tones while offering durability and a luxurious finish. The kitchen was equipped with state-of-the-art appliances to meet the modern homeowner's needs, including: - 2 Siemens under-counter ovens for efficient cooking. - A Capel 90cm full flex hob with a downdraught extractor, blending seamlessly into the design. - Shaws Ribblesdale sink, combining functionality with aesthetic appeal. - Liebherr Integrated tall fridge, ensuring ample storage with a sleek design. - Capel full-height wine cabinet, a must-have for wine enthusiasts. - An additional Liebherr under-counter fridge for extra convenience. Beyond the main kitchen, we designed and installed a fully functional pantry, addressing storage needs and organising the space. Our clients sought to create a space that respects the property's historical essence while infusing modern elements that reflect their style. The result is a pared-down traditional look with a contemporary twist, achieving a balanced and inviting kitchen space that serves as the heart of the home. Craftsman modern kitchen with terrazzo flooring and all custome cabinetry and wood ceilings is stained black walnut. Custom doors in black walnut. Stickley furnishings, with a touch of modern accessories. Custom made wool area rugs for both dining room and greatroom. Walls opened up in back of great room to enjoy the beautiful view.

We chose a rich rift cut white oak cabinet door with custom glazing and a wire-brushed texture for the majority of the kitchen. To create more depth we used grey painted cabinets for the tall pantry area. For the upper wall cabinets next to the sink, glass and metal frame doors were selected.

For our latest project – a navy blue and oak kitchen - artistry meets practicality to ensure a contemporary space which offers true ‘wow factor’. Embracing the timeless appeal of Matt lacquer RAL 5004 Black Blue, seamlessly paired with the warmth of Syncroface Oak, this kitchen design features a Marbled White Quartz worktop. To bring balance to the space, we combined open and closed shelving, striking a perfect equilibrium between accessible display and discreet storage. The art of wine appreciation finds its ideal abode with bottle storage nestled thoughtfully beneath the cosy coffee nook. The cross-reeded glass cabinet door crowning the coffee nook shelf is a nod to classic elegance and modern style. Functionality and convenience merge seamlessly with the inclusion of the innovative Quooker tap, providing instant boiling water, when required. As our clients prepare their meals, the geometric backsplash adds a delightful visual accent. We cleverly incorporate a hidden sink for a clutter-free countertop, maintaining the kitchen's seamless aesthetic while ensuring the workspace stays neat and organised. The addition of wooden cabinet door handles further enhances the natural charm of this contemporary kitchen, creating a tactile and inviting environment for every cooking adventure. I built this on my property for my aging father who has some health issues. Handicap accessibility was a factor in design. His dream has always been to try retire to a cabin in the woods. This is what he got. It is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath with a great room. It is 600 sqft of AC space. The footprint is 40' x 26' overall. The site was the former home of our pig pen. I only had to take 1 tree to make this work and I planted 3 in its place. The axis is set from root ball to root ball. The rear center is aligned with mean sunset and is visible across a wetland. The goal was to make the home feel like it was floating in the palms. The geometry had to simple and I didn't want it feeling heavy on the land so I cantilevered the structure beyond exposed foundation walls. My barn is nearby and it features old 1950's "S" corrugated metal panel walls. I used the same panel profile for my siding. I ran it vertical to match the barn, but also to balance the length of the structure and stretch the high point into the canopy, visually. The wood is all Southern Yellow Pine. This material came from clearing at the Babcock Ranch Development site. I ran it through the structure, end to end and horizontally, to create a seamless feel and to stretch the space. It worked. It feels MUCH bigger than it is. I milled the material to specific sizes in specific areas to create precise alignments. Floor starters align with base. Wall tops adjoin ceiling starters to create the illusion of a seamless board. All light fixtures, HVAC supports, cabinets, switches, outlets, are set specifically to wood joints. The front and rear porch wood has three different milling profiles so the hypotenuse on the ceilings, align with the walls, and yield an aligned deck board below. Yes, I over did it. It is spectacular in its detailing. That's the benefit of small spaces. Concrete counters and IKEA cabinets round out the conversation. For those who cannot live tiny, I offer the Tiny-ish House.
