We expanded this 1974 home from 1,200 square feet to 1,600 square feet with a new front addition and large kitchen remodel! This home was in near-original condition, with dark wood doors & trim, carpet, small windows, a cramped entry, and a tiny kitchen and dining space. The homeowners came to our design-build team seeking to increase their kitchen and living space and update the home's style with durable new finishes. "We're hard on our home!", our clients reminded us during the design phase of the project. The highlight of this project is the entirely remodeled kitchen, which rests in the combined footprint of the original small kitchen and the dining room. The crisp blue and white cabinetry is balanced against the warmth of the wide plank hardwood flooring, custom-milled wood trim, and new wood ceiling beam. This family now has space to gather around the large island, designed to have a useful function on each side. The entertaining sides of the island host bar seating and a wine refrigerator and built-in bottle storage. The cooking and prep sides of the island include a bookshelf for cookbooks --perfectly within reach of the gas cooktop and double ovens-- and a microwave drawer across from the refrigerator; only a step away to reheat meals.

A renovation transformation of a New Zealand bach home on the Leigh coast. The new kitchen has mid-century elements designed in a modern and contemporary way. A sculptural curved stone island is the hero but in no way dominates from the beautiful sea views of this home.

The old Kitchen had natural wood cabinets that extended to the ceiling and dark stone countertops. Kitchen remodel within the existing 12′ x 13′ footprint. By vaulting the ceilings, adding skylights and enlarging the window over the sink, we brought in more volume and light. These elements along with the new soft neutral color palette make the space feel much larger and lighter.

The open floor plan flows from the airy kitchen into the glassed in breakfast room. a A custom bonnet hood is flanked by wall cabinets in perfect symmetry.

What was once a kitchen and dining area was enlarged to create an open floor plan including a large kitchen with seating for 5 plus a dining area and lounge area with fireplace. Instead of burying the beam in the ceiling, we decided to expose it and make it a feature in the space.

The ultimate coastal beach home situated on the shoreintracoastal waterway. The kitchen features white inset upper cabinetry balanced with rustic hickory base cabinets with a driftwood feel. The driftwood v-groove ceiling is framed in white beams. he 2 islands offer a great work space as well as an island for socializng.

In Italia il caffè è cosa sacra, un concetto che la nostra cliente inglese ha sposato immediatamente tanto da voler dedicare una zona della sua cucina di questo casolare toscano, alla preparazione di questa bevanda. Un #CoffeeCorner con macchina per caffè espresso professionale, macina caffè e bollitore appoggiati su un piano in acciaio finitura vintage con lavello integrato per garantire il massimo dell'igiene proprio come in un bar. Sotto un frigo a cassetti @fhiaba_official e una cassettiera. Un modulo attrezzato invece è appeso alla parete con tutto l'occorrente per servire le bevande. L’isola al centro della stanza realizzata in legno di rovere vecchio termo-trattato “Rusticone”, top in quarzite color #atlanticpearl di @marmotexsrl con lavello doppia vasca e prese elettriche. Alle pareti invece i moduli in MDF opaco con piano cottura ad induzione e forni a colonna @ilve_official. Una cucina dalle linee moderne abbinata a dettagli materici che richiamano le finiture di questo casolare toscano.

By vaulting the ceilings, neutralizing the palette and adding skylights, we brought in more volume and light to the space. These elements along with the window over the sink make the space feel much larger and lighter.

This renovation transformed a dark cherry kitchen into an elegant space for cooking and entertaining. The working island features a prep sink and faces a Wolf 48” range and custom stainless steel hood with nickel strapping and rivet details. The eating island is differentiated by arched brackets and polished stainless steel boots on the elevated legs. A neutral, veined Quartzite for the islands and perimeter countertops was paired with a herringbone, ceramic tile backsplash, and rift oak textured cabinetry for style. Intelligent design features walnut drawer interiors and pull-out drawers for spices and condiments, along with another for lid storage. A water dispenser was expressly designed to be accessible yet hidden from view to offset the home’s well water system and was a favorite feature of the homeowner.
