Historic renovation- Joined parlor and kitchen to create one giant kitchen with access to new Solarium on the back of the house. Panel ready, built in appliances including Thermdor Fridge, Miele coffee center wtih pull out table, xo panel ready bar french door bar fridge and panel ready dishwasher. Custom oak hood made from old wood in the house to match aged trim. This is a cook's kitchen with everything a chef would want. The key was angling the sink to allow for all the wishes of the Client.

While we kept the basic layout, nearly every other element in this kitchen was updated and transformed. We worked with our premier specialists, Crystal Cabinets, to create custom cabinetry that optimized the space without increasing the overall footprint. We incorporated the client's traditional style in a way that brought the space into the current century without feel too modern and upgraded the appliances to the best of the best. The split-level countertops were evened out to make the kitchen more open and inviting. We moved the built-in desk to a more functional spot, which allowed us to add more cook and prep space by the stove.

Los clientes me contactaran para realizar una reforma de la área living de su casa porque no se sentían a gusto con los espacios que tenían, ya que eran muy cerrados, obstruyan la luz y no eran prácticos para su estilo de vida. De este modo, lo primero que sugerimos ha sido tirar las paredes del hall de entrada, eliminar el armario empotrado en esa área que también bloqueaba el espacio y la pared maestra divisoria entre la cocina y salón. Hemos redistribuido el espacio para una cocina y hall abiertos con una península que comunican con el comedor y salón. Los muebles de la cocina se han dibujado à medida y realizado con nuestro carpintero de confianza. Para el color de los armarios se han realizado varias muestras, hasta que conseguimos el tono ideal, ya que era un requisito muy importante. Todos los electrodomésticos se han empotrado y hemos dejado a vista 2 nichos para dar mas ligereza al mueble y poder colocar algo decorativo. Cada vez más el espacio entre salón y cocina se diluye, entonces dibujamos cocinas que son una extensión de este espacio y le llamamos al conjunto el espacio Living o zona día. A nivel de materiales, se han utilizado, tiradores de la marca italiana Formani, la encimera y salpicadero son de Porcelanosa Xstone, fregadero de Blanco, grifería de Plados, lámparas de la casa francesa Honoré Deco y papel de pared con hojas tropicales de Casamance.

The dated, blond-colored cabinetry was replaced with Dura Supreme recessed-style custom cabinets finished in white with natural maple interiors and soft close drawers. The new cabinetry was further enhanced by an exotic, level five sandblasted granite in a matte finish.

Late 1800s Victorian Bungalow i Central Denver was updated creating an entirely different experience to a young couple who loved to cook and entertain. By opening up two load bearing wall, replacing and refinishing new wood floors with radiant heating, exposing brick and ultimately painting the brick.. the space transformed in a huge open yet warm entertaining haven. Bold color was at the heart of this palette and the homeowners personal essence.

This growing family was looking for a larger, more functional space to prep their food, cook and entertain in their 1910 NE Minneapolis home. A new floorplan was created by analyzing the way the homeowners use their home. Their large urban garden provides them with an abundance of fresh produce which can now be harvested, brought in through the back door, and then cleaned in the new Kohler prep sink closest to the back door. An old, unusable staircase to the basement was removed to capture more square footage for a larger kitchen space and a better planned back entry area. A mudroom with bench/shoe closet was configured at the back door and the Stonepeak Quartzite tile keeps dirt from boots out of the cooking area. Next in line of function was storage. The refrigerator and pantry areas were moved so they are now across from the prep and cooking areas. New cherry cabinetry in the Waverly door style and floating shelves were provided by Crystal Cabinets. Finally, the kitchen was opened up to the dining room, creating an eat-in area and designated entertainment area. A new Richlin vinyl double-hung pocket window replaced the old window on the southwest wall of the mudroom. The overall style is in line with the style and age of the home. The wood and stain colors were chosen to highlight the rest of the original woodwork in the house. A slight rustic feel was added through a highlight glaze on the cabinets. A natural color palette with muted tones – brown, green and soft white- create a modern fresh feel while paying homage to the character of the home and the homeowners’ earthy style.

Our homeowners needed an update to their existing kitchen. We removed a prep sink from a large peninsula and redesigned that area to include an eat at table top. New quartz countertops (Raphael) give this kitchen a brighter more modern feel. All cabinetry was refinished during this update. Removing a cabinet that housed a bulky microwave, allowed for floating shelves and gives a more modern style to the kitchen overall.
