This kitchen was such a joy to design! The crisp white cabinetry is flanked with stained walnut to provide a sharp contrast. Featuring Perla Venata quartzite slabs that have custom details like: waterfall ends, 2.5" mitered edge, and custom apron detail at the sink.

A busy family of 5 needed a new space for entertaining. The layout proved functional, and with an easy switch of the range and seating areas, a kitchen for entertaining was made. A built in 48" range with a griddle top allows for plenty of space for cooking in the large 10' x 5' island, topped with Taj Mahal Quartzite. Behind the range are fridge and freezer towers, flanked by mirrored pantries that hold everything from spices to canned goods. A large 42" undermount sink spans the breadth of the window that overlooks the canyon beyond. A mirrored hutch balances the side where new French doors open out onto a herb garden. A dry bar matches the cabinetry and increases the space in the grand great room.

This renovation transformed a dark cherry kitchen into an elegant space for cooking and entertaining. The working island features a prep sink and faces a Wolf 48” range and custom stainless steel hood with nickel strapping and rivet details. The eating island is differentiated by arched brackets and polished stainless steel boots on the elevated legs. A neutral, veined Quartzite for the islands and perimeter countertops was paired with a herringbone, ceramic tile backsplash, and rift oak textured cabinetry for style. Intelligent design features walnut drawer interiors and pull-out drawers for spices and condiments, along with another for lid storage. A water dispenser was expressly designed to be accessible yet hidden from view to offset the home’s well water system and was a favorite feature of the homeowner.

The owners of this kitchen both have culinary hobbies -- She makes artisan chocolates and he smokes large batches of meats and cheeses. To support their endeavors, a steam oven was incorporated into the tall cabinet with a vacuum sealer below and a mixer lift was installed in the end of the island.

The kitchen island features a traditional enameled cast iron undermount sink with an ornate gooseneck faucet. The main wall of cabinetry has extra tall uppers with sleek recessed panel doors, decorative craftsman support brackets, and a gray subway tile backsplash with a herringbone detail insert behind the Wolf range. The builder we partnered with for this beauty original wanted to use his cabinet person (who builds and finishes on site) but the clients advocated for manufactured cabinets - and we agree with them! These homeowners were just wonderful to work with and wanted materials that were a little more "out of the box" than the standard "white kitchen" you see popping up everywhere today - and their dog, who came along to every meeting, agreed to something with longevity, and a good warranty! The cabinets are from WW Woods, their Eclipse (Frameless, Full Access) line in the Aspen door style - a shaker with a little detail. The perimeter kitchen and scullery cabinets are a Poplar wood with their Seagull stain finish, and the kitchen island is a Maple wood with their Soft White paint finish. The space itself was a little small, and they loved the cabinetry material, so we even paneled their built in refrigeration units to make the kitchen feel a little bigger. And the open shelving in the scullery acts as the perfect go-to pantry, without having to go through a ton of doors - it's just behind the hood wall!
