This was such an important kitchen for us to get absolutely right. Our client wanted to make the absolute most out the small space that they had. Therefore, we proposed to gut the room completely and start by moving the plumbing and electrics around to get everything where it wanted to go. We will then get the room fully plastered and the ceiling over-boarded with 3x new downlights. The oven housing is a bespoke unit which is designed to sit on top of the worksurface and has a functional drawer below and extra storage above. We have scribed this up to the ceiling to make the kitchen easy to clean and give it the complete fitted appearance. The gas meter is situated in the corner of the room which is why we opted for a 900 x 900 L-shaped corner unit to make access to this easier and it also pushed the sink base to the far RH side which keeps the sink and hob at a larger distance. The hob is a domino gas hob which we will connect directly from the gas meter. With the carcasses being "Natural Hamilton Oak" we have introduced some floating shelves in the same colour which also tie in with the LVT floor. These work far better than wall units as they open to room out and allows the window to offer more natural daylight. Finally, to save our client money, we put a freestanding fridge/freezer in the alcove rather than an integrated. There is no right or wrong answer here but generally a freestanding appliance will be less expensive.

Germanic influenced design is all about excellent ergonomics – the peninsular hob section drives the design, bringing all of the cooking zones together, the bora hob combines powerful cooktops with highly effective cooktop extraction. the solid matt white floor to ceiling furniture aligned with the island houses the ovens and refrigeration positioning them perfectly within the working area and gives the room a powerful geometric feel.

Contemporary German Kitchen in Rustington, West Sussex Aron has created a subtle grey theme for this Rustington project, with natural surfaces and lovely personal inclusions. The Brief This Rustington client required a modernisation of their kitchen space with special inclusions to suit the way they wanted to use their new kitchen. A breakfast bar island was sought after, as a place to perch and for casual eating, with a gloss finish and soft pastel tones a preferred theme. Whilst undertaking the works flooring and heating improvements were also required. Design Elements Designer Aron conjured a simple u-shape layout to make the most of this space, incorporating a breakfast bar as required, with decorative storage featured above. Gloss furniture in a Satin Grey finish has been utilised, which reflects around the space to make the room feel larger. The furniture is complemented by Silestone Quartz surfaces, which have been chosen in a natural grey Moorland Fog finish. The client has chosen to incorporate their favoured pastel colour in the form of a glass splashback, which works well with the Satin Grey cabinetry. Karndean flooring has been installed within the kitchen as well as in most of the downstairs space in this property. A full-height radiator has also been installed to provide plenty of warmth to the kitchen. Special Inclusions High-performance Neff appliances were specified to provide long-lasting functions to the kitchen. The client has opted for a single Slide & Hide oven, combination oven and warming drawer to help them with cooking duties. Elsewhere a Neff hob, integrated extractor hood and refrigerator complete the appliance requirements for this project. To decorate the space, this client has opted for some nice storage areas. An underlit shelf is a nice feature and space to store decorative items, which looks particularly nice with the undercabinet lighting also opted for. Quartz work surfaces have been installed on the large window sill, which has been nicely decorated with plants and decorations. Project Highlight The highlight of this project was the breakfast bar area. It provides a place to eat at any time of day or a nice space to catch up with friends and has been enhanced with glass-fronted wall cabinets and integrated lighting. This area also helps to equip the kitchen with extra built-in storage. The End Result The end result is a kitchen that incorporates all the requirements of the client and more! A renovation of a beautiful Victorian in a historic neighborhood south of Boston maintains the original charm of the kitchen. The homeowners felt strongly about keeping the original storage pantry and the traditional charm it maintained so the Lee Kimball design team balanced the white cabinetry with stained white oak trim and a walnut island. Exposing and re-building the butler stairway added to the design. The kitchen includes a Sub-Zero Wolf appliance package, natural quartzite, and a custom hood from Raw Urth, The unique nooks of the kitchen were preserved with unique and efficient storage with custom cabinet design.

Take in this beautiful kitchen. It feels spacious and gracious yet it is not a big kitchen. This is all custom cabinetry in a transitional style with a hint to tradition. The cabinets are highlighted with brass accents on the hood and hardware. The hood is just perfect over the range top. Double ovens and refrigerator next to this great coffee hideaway. Cabinets were painted white. New quartz countertops were installed, as well as new appliances. Hardwood floors were sanded and refinished. Wainscoting and crown molding were installed. Recessed lighting was also added. A subway tile backsplash was carried all the way to the ceiling.
