These homeowners had lived in their home for a number of years and loved their location, however as their family grew and they needed more space, they chose to have us tear down and build their new home. With their generous sized lot and plenty of space to expand, we designed a 10,000 sq/ft house that not only included the basic amenities (such as 5 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms), but also a four car garage, three laundry rooms, two craft rooms, a 20’ deep basement sports court for basketball, a teen lounge on the second floor for the kids and a screened-in porch with a full masonry fireplace to watch those Sunday afternoon Colts games.

Perched high above this one of a kind kitchen is a unique dropped ceiling detail that adds a great feature to the room, while incorporating lighting and the hood fan for the gas stove. Adding a waterfall edge on an island counter top is such a unique feature.

Der Auftraggeberin dieser Küche war eine zurückhaltende, minimalistische Küche wichtig. Die Küchen sollte sich unauffällig in den offenen Wohnraum integrieren. Daher wurde bewusst auf Hängeschränke verzichtet. Der Dunstabzug sollte daher idealerweise in die Arbeitsplatte integriert werden. Bei den Möbeln wurde sich für einen Kontrast zwischen modernem miminalistischem Design und leicht verschnörkelten teilweise antiken Möbeln und Dekoelementen aus Holz entschieden. Dies ruft mehr Gemütlichkeit hervor, welche für den Wohnraum wichtig ist. Zudem lässt der Kontrast den Raum durch die Abwechslung interessanter und durch die Holzelemente nicht zu kühl wirken.

Drawing from a color palette found in the home's stunning riverfront location, the kitchen was transformed with finish details, including hard wood plank flooring, wood beams, stone and warm custom cabinetry that brought the outdoors inside. The dining table base and top were a custom design made to coordinate with the space.
