Historic row homes in Richmond, Virginia are beautiful, but often lack spaces that make sense for modern life. Small, tucked away kitchens are the norm, so for this client we helped open up the kitchen space with thoughtful cabinetry that provided form and function. A staircase was adjusted for better flow. In addition, the sitting room of the house was upgraded with a big, bright picture window to let even more light into this space. The exterior updates around the picture window are fresh without feeling inauthentic to the home's history.

My clients have a fabulous updated kitchen. The cabinets have staineless steel fronts, the walls are an ivy green and the woodwork is white. She wanted to introduce a warm print to soften the lines, and chose this fabulous floral. We fabricated box pleat valances with a shaped hem and green tassel trim

We love the clean and crisp lines of this beautiful German manufactured kitchen in Hither Green. The inclusion of the peninsular island which houses the Siemens induction hob, creates much needed additional work top space and is a lovely sociable way to cook and entertain. The completely floor to ceiling cabinets, not only look stunning but maximise the storage space available. The combination of the warm oak Nebraska doors, wooden floor and yellow glass splash back compliment the matt white lacquer doors perfectly and bring a lovely warmth to this open plan kitchen space.

Отличными «расширителями» также станут светлые оттенки, зеркальные поверхности, отсутствие громоздкой и монолитной мебели. Стилевое решение в кухне-студии должно оставаться единым. Однако никто не запрещает «разделять» помещение при помощи дизайна и мебели. Как разделить помещение? • При помощи барной стойки или кухонного острова • Открытая полка или раздвижная ширма • Разные уровни пола или потолка (хорошо смотрится кухня на возвышении) • Комнатные растения в больших напольных горшках При оформлении такой комнаты важно помнить и о том, что все воздуховоды и трубы должны быть тщательно скрыты от глаз. Используйте для этого шкафы, обшивку из гипсокартона.

Designing a show home kitchen with dark cabinets involved a thoughtful balance of contrast and harmony to create a stunning and sophisticated space. The dark cabinets served as a bold focal point, grounding the room with a sense of richness and elegance. The deep hue added depth and drama to the kitchen, while the sleek, modern design complemented the overall aesthetic of the space. To offset the darkness of the cabinets and create visual interest, light chairs were chosen to provide a striking contrast. The light chairs brightened the room but also added a touch of airness and warmth to the space. The neutral tones helped to balance the dark cabinets, creating a harmonious blend of light and dark elements that enhanced the overall design. The careful selection of materials and finishes further elevated the design of the show home kitchen. High quality countertops in a complementary colour were chosen to contrast with the dark cabinets and tie the design elements together. Stainless steel appliances added a sleek and modern touch, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the space.
