This kitchen remodel was designed by Astrid from our Windham showroom. This kitchen features Yorktowne Iconic Cabinets with maple wood, Dixon flat panel door style and White Icing Classic paint finish (Kitchen) and Harbor Mist sheer paint finish (Island). Other cabinetry featured in this kitchen includes a wood hood, double wall oven, wine cube and tall bookcase. It also features Hanstone Quartz countertop with Italian waves and standard edge. This flooring is Bella Cera hardwood floors with Valerio color from their Villa Borghese collection. The backplash is Anatolis soho 4”x16” subway tile style in warm gray. Other features include Blanco White Apron front sink and Delta pull down faucet Brushed Nickel.

This breathtaking kitchen was designed for entertaining. The large kitchen island is teak and features a Brittanicca Cambria countertop with a flawless waterfall edge. The 48" gas wolf range is practically a work of art framed by a modern stainless steel range hood and by the quartz panels that meld seamlessly with the wood paneling through out the great room. The modern white cabinets are punctuated with the use of built-in custom gold hardware. The vaulted ceilings create an airy and bright space which is complimented by the use of glass pendants above the bar. The gray porcelain tile flooring used through out the home flows outside to the lanai and entry to punctuate the indoor outdoor design.

This beautiful galley kitchen features beautiful grey washed cabinetry, quartz countertops, an apron front sink and professional grade appliances.

This kitchen was updated with Medallion maple wood species, Middleton door with a flat panel in Sandpiper Classic paint on the perimeter of the kitchen. The bar area and shelving unit and kitchen island features frameless cabinets by Design Craft in maple wood species, Potter Mills door style with flat center panel French Roast stain with Sable glaze and highlight. The countertops are Eternia Castlebar quartz with a roundover edge and a Blanco white fireclay apron front sink. Moen single handle faucet in matte black. A 4-light candelabra pendant light by Park Harbor hangs over the island and a Seagull 5-light Ravenwood chandelier hangs over the dining room table.

A large open-plan kitchen is given a clean, modern look with the abundance of white and pale yellows. We used a new green material for the countertops, which is a man-made porcelain slab, which adds a smooth and seamless design to the large space. Complementing the countertops are the sleek white cabinets, white globe pendant lights, and a pale yellow accent wall, which keeps the room light and cheery while adding a touch of color. We added a pop-up outlet in the countertop, which plugs into a hidden GFCI, allowing for outlets to be readily available and indecipherable on the countertop. An assisted pop-up shelf has also been installed, providing the perfect space for a toaster, coffee machine, and other small machinery that may take up wanted counter space. And lastly, for additional storage, we designed the top row shelves to be open and continuous (not sectioned off), creating space for larger items that the homeowners want to store. Originally a church and community centre, this Northside residence has been lovingly renovated by an enthusiastic young couple into a unique family home. The design brief for this kitchen design was to create a larger than life industrial style kitchen that would not look lost in the enormous 8.3meter wide “assembly hall” area of this unassuming 1950’s suburban home. The inclusion of a large island that was proportionate to the space was a must have for the family. The collation of different materials, textures and design features in this kitchen blend to create a functional, family-friendly, industrial style kitchen design that feels warm and inviting and entirely at home in its surroundings. The clients desire for dark charcoal colour cabinetry is softened with the use of the ‘Bluegrass’ colour cabinets under the rough finish solid wood island bench. The sleek black handles on the island contrast the Bluegrass cabinet colour while tying the island in with the handless charcoal colour cabinets on the back wall. With limited above bench wall space, the majority of storage is accommodated in 50-65kg capacity soft closing drawers under deep benchtops maximising the storage potential of the area. The 1meter wide appliance cabinet has ample storage for small appliances in tall deep drawers under bench height while a pair of pocket doors above bench level open to reveal bench space for a toaster and coffee machine with a microwave space and shelving above. This kitchen design earned our designer Anne Ellard, a spot in the final of KBDI’s 2017 Designer Awards. Award winners will be announced at a Gala event in Adelaide later this year. Now in its ninth year, the KBDi Designer Awards is a well-established and highly regarded national event on the Australian design calendar. The program recognises the professionalism and talent of Australian kitchen and bathroom designers. What the clients said: ” The end result of our experience with Anne and Kitchens by Kathie is a space that people walk into and everyone says “Wow!”. As well as being great to look at, it’s a pleasure to use, the space has both great form and function. Anne was extremely responsive to any issues or concerns that cropped up during the design/build process which made the whole process much smoother and enjoyable.
