La touche champêtre chic est apportée par l’évier en céramique et son mitigeur « poissonnier ». La crédence en verre SECURIT est adaptée à la plaque gaz. La verrière et les spots intégrés sous les meubles hauts éclairent la pièce. Et le sol en un carrelage aspect « parquet » assorti à la table et au plan de travail est tout simplement superbe. D’ailleurs la table de cuisine qui peut accueillir jusqu’à 6 personnes a été relookée par Mr&Mme D, les propriétaires : un véritable travail d’équipe ! Inspired by the multi-functional performance of a shell structure in nature, the design of this two-bedroom, two-bath ADU explored a performance-based roof geometry that becomes the building façade and privacy screen. Coupled with deep roof overhangs, this second skin allows dappled light to penetrate the interior during the day while reflecting the detrimental UV radiation on the southern exposure. The perforations in the second skin are based on the effects of the sun path on the southern exposure and the location of the windows behind the screen. At night, the interior light glows through the perforations, contributing to the name of the project, “LuminOCity”. Orange Coast College and UC Irvine formed a partnership called "Team MADE" to enter the 2023 Orange County Sustainability Decathlon. "MADE" is an acronym for Modular, Affordable Dwellings for the Environment. LuminOCity won second place in the competition and 9 awards in various categories. Following the competition, the home was donated to Homeless Intervention Services, Orange County, where it serves as an ADU on an existing property to provide transitional housing for youth experiencing housing insecurities. This 750sf prefabricated, modular home is built on four, eight foot wide modules that nest together. The building system is predicated on a software-to-manufacturing pipeline called the FrameCAD Machine. This roll-former for light-gauge steel allowed Team MADE to prototype as well as site-manufacture every stud and track in the steel-framed home they would design. Over 100 student volunteers aided in the construction of the steel framing, MEP installation, building envelope, and site work. The use of prefabricated Light Gauge Steel allowed for higher construction tolerances with simplified assembly diagrams that could be followed by student volunteers. Joseph Sarafian, AIA was the lead architect as well as one of four faculty advisors on the project, leading the design of the project from conception to completion.

A 20-year old builder kitchen that desperately needed an update. That is why the Louds called us. A few years previously, we had completed a finished basement project for them that you can view here: https://www.allrd.com/project/loud-basement/ To connect the kitchen a little more with the dining room, we opened the doorway as wide and high as we could. One special feature of the kitchen is the beverage pantry. It was something the homeowner had seen online and wanted to make practical. Because pull outdoors would have been in the way, we went with slide-in, fold-out doors like what you would see in an entertainment center. The other unique feature of the kitchen is the center island. The blue was chosen to match the color theme of the connecting living room. The solid wood countertop is a striking centerpiece that steals the show. The cooktop was moved to the island, but because the homeowner did not want a bulky range hood hanging from the ceiling, we had to get creative with a downdraft range vent and a fan mounted on the outside of the house to pull the air out. Another interesting aspect to the cooktop is that we had originally recommended an induction cooktop instead of regular electric cooktop. The reason being that an induction cooktop cools instantly the moment the pot is removed whereas an electric cooktop stays hot but with no visual cue to warn you. The homeowner initially decided to go with the less expensive electric cooktop. But, before we had even finished construction, one of the family members slid their hand over the cooktop while walking by just after a pan had been removed and got burned. Immediately the homeowner requested we install the induction cooktop instead. Soft Maple Cabinets painted Simply White, Taj Mihal Granite countertops, farmhouse sink, 3” x 6” Antiqua Ceramic tile backsplash in Feelings Grigio, 30” Dacor HoodDowndraft vent, Luxury Vinyl tile floor, and LED i-Lighting undercabinet lighting.

This 1970's home had a complete makeover! The goal of the project was to 1) open up the main floor living and gathering spaces and 2) create a more beautiful and functional kitchen. We took out the dividing wall between the front living room and the kitchen and dining room to create one large gathering space, perfect for a young family and for entertaining friends! Onto the exciting part - the kitchen! The existing kitchen was U-Shaped with not much room to have more than 1 person working at a time. We kept the appliances in the same locations, but really expanded the amount of workspace and cabinet storage by taking out the peninsula and adding a large island. The cabinetry, from Holiday Kitchens, is a blue-gray color on the lowers and classic white on the uppers. The countertops are walnut butcherblock on the perimeter and a marble looking quartz on the island. The backsplash, one of our favorites, is a diamond shaped mosaic in a rhombus pattern, which adds just the right amount of texture without overpowering all the gorgeous details of the cabinets and countertops. The hardware is a champagne bronze - one thing we love to do is mix and match our metals! The faucet is from Kohler and is in Matte Black, the sink is from Blanco and is white. The flooring is a luxury vinyl plank with a warm wood tone - which helps bring all the elements of the kitchen together we think! Overall - this is one of our favorite kitchens to date - so many beautiful details on their own, but put together create this gorgeous kitchen!

Все больше такая версия кухонного гарнитура набирает популярности. Попробуем разобрать целесообразно ли идти на такой шаг и отходить от стандартов классических кухонь? 1. Дополнительное место для хранения. Это очевидное и самое важное преимущество. Складываются в такие ящички вещи, которые не нужны каждый день, но выбросить которые жалко. Какая хозяйка откажется от дополнительного места и нескольких ящичков на кухне? 2. Внешний вид. Может показаться странным, но это тоже большой плюс. Ведь выглядит кухня до потолка довольно оригинально. При этом всё продуманно логично, а верхние антресоли выравнивают при помощи шкафов и пеналов. Функциональность кухни сохраняется по максимуму, при этом внешний вид визуально расширяет пространство в комнате. 3. Возможность игры с оттенками. Да, это тоже большое преимущество. Можно сделать определенные акценты на ярких цветах, тона и материал помогут выделить элементы кухни, на которые стоит обращать внимание. Например, подвесные шкафы можно делать коричневым цветом, а всё остальное белым или же наоборот. С маленькими кухнями такая игра цветов будет смотреться некрасиво. 4. Максимальная функциональность. У вас появиться возможность задействовать пространство на кухне по максимуму. Для того чтобы освободить помещение от дополнительных ящиков, полок и прочего, ведь так или иначе нужно хранить вещи. Так зачем же ставить дополнительную мебель, если просто можно сделать третий ряд шкафов? Дизайн-проект частного загородного дома, общей площадью 120 м2, расположенного в коттеджном поселке «Изумрудные горки» Ленинградской области. Проект разрабатывался в начале 2020 года, основываясь на главном пожелании заказчиков: «Сбежать из городской квартиры». Острой необходимостью стала покупка загородного жилья и обустройство его под функциональное пространство для работы и отдыха вне городской среды. Интерьер должен был быть сдержанным, строгим и в тоже время уютным. Чтобы добиться камерной атмосферы преимущественно были использованы натуральные отделочные материалы темных тонов. Строгие графичные элементы проходят линиями по всем помещения, подчеркивая конструкционные особенности дома и планировку, которая была разработана с учетом всех потребностей каждого из членов семьи и отличается от стандартной планировки, предложенной застройщиком.
