This modern lake house is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The residence overlooks a mountain lake with expansive mountain views beyond. The design ties the home to its surroundings and enhances the ability to experience both home and nature together. The entry level serves as the primary living space and is situated into three groupings; the Great Room, the Guest Suite and the Master Suite. A glass connector links the Master Suite, providing privacy and the opportunity for terrace and garden areas. Won a 2013 AIANC Design Award. Featured in the Austrian magazine, More Than Design. Cette cuisine faisait partie d'un projet qui consistait à transformer un duplexe en une maison bi-générationnelle sur le Plateau Mont Royal. Concernant l'agrandissement de la maison sur la cour arrière, les travaux ont consisté à réaliser une extension sur fondation de béton, avec un sous-sol et 2 étages. Des travaux de sous-oeuvre ont été nécessaire au niveaux du mur de fondation existant de la maison et le mur mitoyen. Des ouvertures du mur de maçonnerie ont été réalisés au RDC et au 2e étage pour créer une grande pièce ouverte, entre l'entre principale de chaque niveau et les fenêtre de extension qui surplombe la ruelle. • • • This kitchen was part of a project that consisted of transforming a duplex into a bi-generational house. The whole extension project includes two floors, a basement, and a new concrete foundation. Underpinning work was required between the existing foundation and the new walls. We added masonry wall openings on the first and second floors to create a large open space on each level, extending to the new back-facing windows. Designed and Executed by Juro Design, this kitchen was completely re-imagined to create a timeless space that builds appeal and interest through layered decor elements. The final result exceeded our clients' expectations and has become a design focal point. ​Materials used: Laminex Absolute Matte Black cabinets, paired with concrete benchtops and finished off with custom solid blackbutt timber handles and feature details. The door to the pantry forms part of the cabinetry concealing it from view. We also have a custom made sliding access panel incorporated into the splashback with the benchtop following through proving functional easy access to the pantry.

Заказчик – поклонник эко-стиля, поэтому в проекте были использованы в основном натуральные материалы: пол из массива, стена из стеклоблоков, реечные конструкции.

The existing kitchen was dated and did not offer sufficient and functional storage for a young family. The colours and finishes specified created the contemporary / industrial feel the client was looking for and the earthy/ natural touches such as the timber shelves provide contrast and mirror the warmth of the flooring. Painting the back wall the same colour as the splash back and cabinetry, create a functional kitchen with a ‘wow’ factor.

Das Lawinenholz wurde per Spedition an die Firma Lücking Innenausbau nach Berlin versandt, die für die Schreinerarbeiten zuständig war. Mit besonders viel Liebe zum Detail wurde dieses dann in das weiße Einbaumöbel integriert. Am beeindruckendsten wirkt die Arbeitsplatte, die aus einem einzigen dicken Brett gefertigt wurde. Die vordere Kante wurde dabei auf besonderen Wunsch der Kundin natürlich belassen und nicht gerade beschnitten. Foto: Thomas Straub

Notre projet Jaurès est incarne l’exemple du cocon parfait pour une petite famille. Une pièce de vie totalement ouverte mais avec des espaces bien séparés. On retrouve le blanc et le bois en fil conducteur. Le bois, aux sous-tons chauds, se retrouve dans le parquet, la table à manger, les placards de cuisine ou les objets de déco. Le tout est fonctionnel et bien pensé. Dans tout l’appartement, on retrouve des couleurs douces comme le vert sauge ou un bleu pâle, qui nous emportent dans une ambiance naturelle et apaisante. Un nouvel intérieur parfait pour cette famille qui s’agrandit.
