After many years of careful consideration and planning, these clients came to us with the goal of restoring this home’s original Victorian charm while also increasing its livability and efficiency. From preserving the original built-in cabinetry and fir flooring, to adding a new dormer for the contemporary master bathroom, careful measures were taken to strike this balance between historic preservation and modern upgrading. Behind the home’s new exterior claddings, meticulously designed to preserve its Victorian aesthetic, the shell was air sealed and fitted with a vented rainscreen to increase energy efficiency and durability. With careful attention paid to the relationship between natural light and finished surfaces, the once dark kitchen was re-imagined into a cheerful space that welcomes morning conversation shared over pots of coffee. Every inch of this historical home was thoughtfully considered, prompting countless shared discussions between the home owners and ourselves. ¡La cocina! Uno de los espacios más importantes de la casa para muchísima gente. En este caso era un espacio importantísimo, por lo que optamos por hacer una cocina abierta al salón / comedor. Es una cocina en forma de "U" con los muebles altos a un lado y el resto de la cocina es una encimera de madera con muebles bajos. El resultado ha sido una cocina muy práctica y con una estética que encaja perfectamente con el resto de la casa.

A true cooks Kitchen, this has it all, from the coffee center to the gas cooktop. The Prep sink in the island close to the cooktop and ref. Form and function.

The original cabinets were retained, while receiving a new coat of paint. The island was reworked to change the shape of the top - making it more square - while making the countertop material an exotic hardware and adding turned legs for support and detail. A new chandelier is over a small bay window space that is perfect to enjoy your morning coffee in!

This home previously had a very small window above the sink area. We removed the existing window, increased the width,height and shape to add a bay window This addition increased the amount of natural light and the view available. This traditional kitchen in Maidenbower is both stunning and functional - perfect for cooking and entertaining. For this kitchen transformation, the Welford range was used, known for its timeless design. The cabinetry is painted matte black, making the space look cosier and more inviting, while the silver coloured metal handles add a subtle touch of elegance.
