Our client was looking for a simple kitchen to be installed in their basement suite. From consultation to measurement, to material selection, fabrication and installation. We managed this install from beginning to end.

An outdated 1920's kitchen in Bayside Queens was turned into a refreshed, classic and timeless space that utilized the very limited space to its maximum capacity. The cabinets were once outdated and a dark brown that made the space look even smaller. Now, they are a bright white, accompanied by white subway tile, a light quartzite countertop and brushed brass hardware throughout. What made all the difference was the use of the dark porcelain floors as a great contrast to all the white. We were also diligent to keep the hold extractor a clear glass and stainless steel.

This clean, contemporary, white kitchen, in a New York City penthouse, was designed by Bilotta's Goran Savic and Regina Bilotta in collaboration with Jennifer Post of Jennifer Post Design. The cabinetry is Bilotta’s contemporary line, Artcraft. A flat panel door in a high-gloss white lacquer finish, the base cabinet hardware is a channel system while the tall cabinets have long brushed stainless pulls. All of the appliances are Miele, either concealed behind white lacquer panels or featured in their “Brilliant White” finish to keep the clean, integrated design. On the island, the Gaggenau cooktop sits flush with the crisp white Corian countertop; on the parallel wall the sink is integrated right into the Corian top. The mirrored backsplash gives the illusion of a more spacious kitchen – after all, large, eat-in kitchens are at a premium in Manhattan apartments! At the same time it offers view of the cityscape on the opposite side of the apartment. A great example of "Transitional" design on a smaller scale. This North Scottsdale Condo was design using white Shaker style cabinets in the kitchen and for the island. The counter tops are a quartz with marble veining and the backsplash uses the original brick. The floors are a wood plank porcelain in a lighter wood tone. The design brightens up the space and creates the illusion of extra space. Enjoy!

Great lighting ties this glamorous modern open kitchen renovation together starring an eat-in kitchen island that seats three, stainless steel appliances, porcelain floor tile, quartz countertops, a glass tile mosaic backsplash, and our custom Shaker style island and cabinets in a white satin finish. In order to light the island elegantly, we created a soffit to run pendants below the beam.

This Passover kitchen was designed as a secondary space for cooking. The design includes Moroccan-inspired motifs on the ceramic backsplash and ties seamlessly with the black iron light fixture. Since the kitchen is used one week to a month per year, and to keep the project budget-friendly, we opted for laminate countertops with a concrete look as an alternative to stone. The 33-inch drop-in stainless steel sink is thoughtfully located by the only window with a view of the lovely backyard. Because the space is small and closed in, LED undercabinet lighting was essential to making the surface space practical for basic tasks.

For this kitchen, designed by Peter Bittner, the client had a very clear idea of what she wanted right from the start. She did her research. The mother of a fast growing, young family, she wanted something as efficient as it was beautiful – on the simple, yet elegant side. Her requests were straightforward: white and light grey Bilotta cabinetry in a transitional style so as not to compete with the detailing inside her 1950s Tudor-style home; a heated tile floor (By Rye Ridge Tile); stainless appliances; white subway tile backsplash by Walker Zanger (again to keep it clean and not compete with its surroundings); and seating at the island for snacks and homework. The “pop” suggested by Peter was done through the satin brass hardware and lighting fixtures. The real challenge with this space was to fit as much as possible into the existing footprint which was overall on the smaller side. The solution was eliminating a doorway (with a swinging door that opened into the kitchen) and stairs from the kitchen to the basement. By moving the stairs and doorway, the usable space increased considerably. The typical working triangle became the focus for one side of the kitchen and the island overhang and seating became available on the other side. To make up for the limited amount of wall cabinets Peter designed shallow pantry-style cabinets along the back wall. Quartz Countertops by Rom Stone Fabrication.
