Open plan apartment living for urban dwellers optimizes small space city living. Here a galley kitchen in white and dark gray makes a style statement.

I love working with clients that have ideas that I have been waiting to bring to life. All of the owner requests were things I had been wanting to try in an Oasis model. The table and seating area in the circle window bump out that normally had a bar spanning the window; the round tub with the rounded tiled wall instead of a typical angled corner shower; an extended loft making a big semi circle window possible that follows the already curved roof. These were all ideas that I just loved and was happy to figure out. I love how different each unit can turn out to fit someones personality. The Oasis model is known for its giant round window and shower bump-out as well as 3 roof sections (one of which is curved). The Oasis is built on an 8x24' trailer. We build these tiny homes on the Big Island of Hawaii and ship them throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

With the new doors the feel of the space completely changed. It came a lighter and brighter spaces and with the few extra spare metres made all the difference to the space in the room. Keeping everything neutral was key to this project to maximise rental potential

Most people would relate to the typical floor plan of a 1980's Brick Veneer home. Disconnected living spaces with closed off rooms, the original layout comprised of a u shaped kitchen with an archway leading to the adjoining dining area that hooked around to a living room behind the kitchen wall. The client had put a lot of thought into their requirements for the renovation, knowing building works would be involved. After seeing Ultimate Kitchens and Bathrooms projects feature in various magazines, they approached us confidently, knowing we would be able to manage this scale of work alongside their new dream kitchen. Our designer, Beata Brzozowska worked closely with the client to gauge their ideals. The space was transformed with the archway wall between the being replaced by a beam to open up the run of the space to allow for a galley style kitchen. An idealistic walk in pantry was then cleverly incorporated to the design, where all storage needs could be concealed behind sliding doors. This gave scope for the bench top to be clutter free leading out to an alfresco space via bi-fold bay windows which acted as a servery. An island bench at the living end side creates a great area for children to sit engaged in their homework or for another servery area to the interior zone. The dramatic open and airy kitchen remodel revealed just how much potential lied within this home. The sleek white cabinet design is much fresher than the former wood material in this kitchen and make it feel twice as big. The polished quartz countertops and backsplash perfectly complement the apron sink and new appliances, while the adorable pair of 10-lite doors scream, welcome home.

A badly level ceiling, solid brick walls, and leftover architectural features that no longer made sense. That is what stood between Michael and Craig and their beautiful kitchen. The kitchen in this 1899 Lancaster City row home was barely functional. So after creating a plan together that maximized the space while staying in the budget, the work began. The entire room was completely gutted... including an 18” brick wall which opened up the corner to make room for more counter space and cabinets. Gutting the room also allowed us to level the ceiling to give a perfect finish to the top of the cabinets. It was amazing to see the kitchen come together. Soft maple cabinets painted with the Simply White finish. The doors were in the flat panel style with a 1/2” overlay. Lina Pearl granite countertops with a Marazzi Midpark Mosaics glazed porcelain backsplash in Shadow with Alabaster grout. Coretec Plus was used for the flooring in the Whittier Oak color. Most of the appliances were purchased from Martin's Appliances – including the stainless steel Elica stove hood.

Timeless White Kitchen perfectly describes this beautiful remodel we completed over the winter. The original kitchen had 1970's dark oak cabinets with laminate countertops and backsplash. The shape of the kitchen was a U-Shape with upper cabinets over the peninsula, which made the kitchen feel dark and cut off from the rest of the home. For this remodel, took out the U-shape and gave them an L-shaped kitchen instead, giving them extra countertop to the right of the sink. To make up for the storage lost in the upper cabinets and peninsula, we designed a movable island, which could be added on as peninsula piece, an island in the center of the kitchen, or off to the side to allow for extra walking space. We love the functionality of just this piece! The cabinets are flat panel doors and drawers and painted antique white - so beautiful! The countertops on the perimeter are Cambria and the island is butcherblock walnut. The walnut top has 2 drop down leaves, so when needed the homeowner can extend them and create a 6 foot island! The backsplash is a crackled hand-made ceramic tile in a very pretty grey color. The design is in the details for this one for sure! The corner cabinet features a lazy susan, but with and extra 6 inches to incorporate tray storage. In the tall pantry cabinet, there is a lift up door to hide the microwave. One other feature is the hood! This thin hood pulls out when in use and then can be pushed back in when not, leaving a lot of space above the stove. We just love it! The homeowners had just replaced the floor, so we were able to keep that as well. We just love how this kitchen turned out. We wanted to make the kitchen light and bright, but still make sure it fit in with the rest of the home. This kitchen is sure to stand the test of time, from every day living to baking cookies at the holidays!

Our clients wanted to increase the size of their kitchen, which was small, in comparison to the overall size of the home. They wanted a more open livable space for the family to be able to hang out downstairs. They wanted to remove the walls downstairs in the front formal living and den making them a new large den/entering room. They also wanted to remove the powder and laundry room from the center of the kitchen, giving them more functional space in the kitchen that was completely opened up to their den. The addition was planned to be one story with a bedroom/game room (flex space), laundry room, bathroom (to serve as the on-suite to the bedroom and pool bath), and storage closet. They also wanted a larger sliding door leading out to the pool. We demoed the entire kitchen, including the laundry room and powder bath that were in the center! The wall between the den and formal living was removed, completely opening up that space to the entry of the house. A small space was separated out from the main den area, creating a flex space for them to become a home office, sitting area, or reading nook. A beautiful fireplace was added, surrounded with slate ledger, flanked with built-in bookcases creating a focal point to the den. Behind this main open living area, is the addition. When the addition is not being utilized as a guest room, it serves as a game room for their two young boys. There is a large closet in there great for toys or additional storage. A full bath was added, which is connected to the bedroom, but also opens to the hallway so that it can be used for the pool bath. The new laundry room is a dream come true! Not only does it have room for cabinets, but it also has space for a much-needed extra refrigerator. There is also a closet inside the laundry room for additional storage. This first-floor addition has greatly enhanced the functionality of this family’s daily lives. Previously, there was essentially only one small space for them to hang out downstairs, making it impossible for more than one conversation to be had. Now, the kids can be playing air hockey, video games, or roughhousing in the game room, while the adults can be enjoying TV in the den or cooking in the kitchen, without interruption! While living through a remodel might not be easy, the outcome definitely outweighs the struggles throughout the process.
