The homeowners’ desire for a contemporary, but welcoming, kitchen guided material and finish choices. Not wanting to part with their beautiful existing South American Am odium floor, the designer located more material to weave almost seamlessly in with the old.

We envisioned a modern design with warm wood tones and lots of texture and movement. We selected Dura Supreme Bria cabinetry in the Carson door style, achieving a warm feel with quartersawn oak in Heather finish. Our goal in this kitchen was to be creative with storage and not just fill the space with cabinets. By designing hidden work areas like the coffee bar and smoothie prep station on the fridge wall, we were able to create a beautiful aesthetic that also brought added function to the space.

A balance of warm woods, tones of black, and crisp whites create the perfect blend. The perimeter cabinets are maple with a space stain while the island is painted Sherwin Williams Iron Ore. The island is topped with Cambria Ironsbridge quartz while the perimeters are Silestone Mythology in Miami White17. Matte black appliances and hardware finish the look. The design lends itself to a transitional look that'll be beautiful and timeless.

This was a fascinating project for incredible clients. To optimize costs and timelines, our Montecito studio took the existing Craftsman style of the kitchen and transformed it into a more contemporary one. We reused the perimeter cabinets, repainted for a fresh look, and added new walnut cabinets for the island and the appliances wall. The solitary pendant for the kitchen island was the focal point of our design, leaving our clients with a beautiful and everlasting kitchen remodel. --- Project designed by Montecito interior designer Margarita Bravo. Full remodel of a 40 year old kitchen. The goal was to have a beautiful, functional space for an avid cook in a style that would stand the test of time. The natural cherry cabinetry blends with the natural woodwork in the home. Honed quartz countertops are beautiful and durable. The marble mosaic backsplash is the crown jewel which pulls it all together.

The existing kitchen was completely remodeled to create a compact chef's kitchen. The client is a true chef, who teaches cooking classes, and we were able to get a professional grade kitchen in an 11x7 footprint! The new island creates adequate prep space. The bookcases on the front add a ton of storage and interesting display in an otherwise useless walkway. The South wall is the exposed brick original to the 1900's home. To compliment the brick, we chose a warm nutmeg stain in cherry cabinets. The countertops are a durable quartz that look like marble but are sturdy enough for this work horse kitchen. The retro pendants are oversized to add a lot of interest in this small space. The homeowner's had a small, non functional kitchen. With their desire to think outside of the box we were able to knock down a structural wall between the kitchen and dining room to give them a large island and a more functional kitchen. To keep costs down we left the sink in the existing location under the window. We provided them with a large pantry cabinet to replace their closet. In the dining room area we flanked the window with a window seat and a storage space for them to put shoes when coming in from the garage. This more open concept kitchen provides the homeowner's with a great entertaining space for their large family gatherings. Mike Kaskel

This Kitchen was designed for a small space with budget friendly clients. We were very careful choosing the materials to bring this one under budget and on time. The whole process took just about 2 weeks from demo to completion.

These South Shore homeowners desired a fresh look for their kitchen that was efficient and functional with a design worthy of showing off to family and friends. They also wished for more natural light, increased floor area and better countertop work space allowing for ease of preparation and cooking. The Renovisions team began the remodel by installing a larger (5’) window over the sink area which overlooks the beautiful backyard. Additional countertop workspace was achieved by utilizing the corner and installing a GE induction cooktop and stainless steel hood. This solution was spot on spectacular! Renovisions discussed the importance of adding lighting fixtures and the homeowners agreed. Under cabinet lighting was installed under wall cabinets with switch as well as two pendants over the peninsula and one pendant over the sink. It also made good design sense to add additional recessed ceiling fixtures with LED lights and trims that blend well with the ceiling. The project came together beautifully and boasts gorgeous shaker styled cherry cabinetry with glass mullian doors. The separate desk area serves as a much needed office/organizational area for keys, mail and electronic charging. A lovely backsplash of Tuscan-clay-look porcelain tile in 4”x8” brick pattern and diagonal tile with decorative metal-look accent tiles serves an eye-catching design detail. We created interest without being overdone. A large rectangular under-mounted ‘chef’ sink in stainless steel finish was the way to go here to accommodate larger pots and pans and platters. The creamy color marble like durable yet beautiful quartz countertops created a soft tone for the kitchens overall aesthetic look. Simple, pretty details give the cherry cabinets understated elegance and the mix of textures makes the room feel welcoming. Our client can’t wait to start preparing her favorite recipes for her family.
