This is a 1 bedroom condo that I assisted the client in renovating, staging and selling. We ripped up a carpet, installed new flooring, painted all over, wallpapered the alcove, swapped out old appliances for new, put a new tile floor in the kitchen, swapped out countertops for new granite, swapped out cabinet pulls and staged the unit. We sold for more than our targeted amount during the Winter season.

This homeowner loved her home and location, but it needed updating and a more efficient use of the condensed space she had for her kitchen. We were creative in opening the kitchen and a small eat-in area to create a more open kitchen for multiple cooks to work together. We created a coffee station/serving area with floating shelves, and in order to preserve the existing windows, we stepped a base cabinet down to maintain adequate counter prep space. With custom cabinetry reminiscent of the era of this home and a glass tile back splash she loved, we were able to give her the kitchen of her dreams in a home she already loved. We attended a holiday cookie party at her home upon completion, and were able to experience firsthand, multiple cooks in the kitchen and hear the oohs and ahhs from family and friends about the amazing transformation of her spaces.

In this kitchen renovation, we removed the existing soffits and installed Medallion Gold, Maple, 1 ¼“ Cabinets in the Mission Door style with a Flat Center Panel Painted in White Icing accented with Brushed Satin Nickel Knobs and Wide Cup Pulls. Cambria 3cm Quartz Countertop in Brittanica Color with Standard Edge Profile was installed on the countertop. On the backsplash, 3x6 Expressions Daylight White Gloss Ceramic Tile and trim pieces were installed. Also a Fireclay White Farmhouse Double Bowl Sink with a Meridian Semi-Professional Double Spiral Flexible Pull-Out Spray Hose in Satin Nickel was installed. On the floor, American Olean’s wood look 6x36 Ceramic Tile in Historic Bridge Old Forge.

This Transitional Farmhouse Kitchen was completely remodeled and the home is nestled on the border of Pasadena and South Pasadena. Our goal was to keep the original charm of our client’s home while updating the kitchen in a way that was fresh and current. Our design inspiration began with a deep green soapstone counter top paired with creamy white cabinetry. Carrera marble subway tile for the backsplash is a luxurious splurge and adds classic elegance to the space. The stainless steel appliances and sink create a more transitional feel, while the shaker style cabinetry doors and schoolhouse light fixture are in keeping with the original style of the home. Tile flooring resembling concrete is clean and simple and seeded glass in the upper cabinet doors help make the space feel open and light. This kitchen has a hidden microwave and custom range hood design, as well as a new pantry area, for added storage. The pantry area features an appliance garage and deep-set counter top for multi-purpose use. These features add value to this small space. The finishing touches are polished nickel cabinet hardware, which add a vintage look and the cafe curtains are the handiwork of the homeowner. L'ancienne porte donnant sur la terrasse a été transformée en fenêtre, permettant d'optimiser le plan de travail et de positionner un évier profitant pleinement de la vue sur le jardin. This little kitchen started off very dated with old brown cabinets. Because we were able to keep the tile floors,this kitchen was updated on a great budget! By adding a shelf or mantel on the front of a cabinets and choosing a nice dark stain, we were able to give this small kitchen to look and feel of a larger space with a wood hood. The area above the hood is available for storage. The trash can is no incorporated into the cabinets and the dishwasher is located on the right (for a right handed person). The open shelf for dishes allows the homeowner to show case her beautiful stoneware and makes for easy access for the kids to reach. Deep drawers allow for great storage.
